i would like to say "yuh artık!!!"

Whoa!

We have a national drink Turkish raki, and its alcohol ratio is higher than beer's. It is sold in every market.

We also have a famous basketball team and it was founded for the name of a beer company; Efes Pilsen

Turkey is a secular democratic country. Of course it's legal to drink.
If you want more information about the country visit http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Turkey

DejaVu
yes it is legal to drink in Turkey of course..

And some people don't know what they are talking about, its sold in every single corner shop, super markets etc..we have millions of bars, most Turks do like to have drink... we like to have a few and a laugh..

But only difference between European countries and Turkey is that our culture is not purely based on drinking..

HOTTürk
Yes, its legal.

Its cheaper and easier to find than its in Europe.

Question looks a bit funny : ) Sometimes i wonder people about this kind of things when they ask.

Of course drink is legal in Turkey. We have a national drink called "Rakı"... Also don't forget to try Efes Pilsen, best beer in the world : )

Günün sözü: "Umrumda olmaz dünya, Efes'im yanımda olduğunda" : )

Pinar
Cheers..... I am enjoying my vodka at the moment.
