It depends on where you live. I mean, Russia is enormous. There are huge cities and very small towns. In the cities, you will get more diversity than in the small towns, but smaller towns mean less people, and possibly less prejudice. Everywhere you go you can encounter racism, prejudice, etc, and not just in Russia. Its everywhere, unfortunetely, even in America where there are thousands of muslims. So Russia is as good a place as any, especially if your wife is Russian and if it was her idea, then maybe she knows what it is like there and feels that the both of you would be happy there.

for sure 100% there are a lot of discrimination and racist, and russia are one of the most racist countries, we can not cover the sun with our finger that is impossible, the true sometime is painfull but inevitable, your wife will be have to do everything in your name because she is white and russian for sure.
Is like in any country around the world if you have a dark skin and u wife is white go to the shopping mall and see the diference is simple and is true.
My advice is if u love u wife live with her anywhere but please left in u closet the religion and the muslim things..the religion nothing to do with u life nobody care about u religion beleiveds, who is most important?
Is the same way why u wife does not like to live in your country!!!

You could live in Russia as a muslim if you like living in hell. No offense to you at all but my husband was born and raised in Russia and I was born and raised in the states, however because I am NOT the same religion as my husband, I get a lot of heart ache from both sides of the family.I come from a very religious family, and Russia for the most part is "non religious". If your happy then go for it. I just hope you know how to speak, and understand,read and write in the language.

The only place's in the world where you won't get any racism abuse about being a Muslim is in predominantly Muslim countries. Muslim's and about every other religion on the planet doesn't get along very well. Religion was outlawed of course during the period of communism but now people in Russia have to freedom to choose there religion and there mostly Christian. I don't think you'll get stoned in the town square and made a Martyr but you might get some bad looks and whispered comments. But try to look at it as a good opportunity to bring Muslamic beliefs to infidels.

Unfortunately, yes. There is a lot of racism and anti-muslim feeling.

But there are many non-Russians living in moscow, and they get by.

Russia itself is very nice. It's hard to judge a whole country and its large number of people. As far as I know with my personal experience, it's not really prejudiced against Muslims.... I'm not sure...

â™ what is remarkable about Russia they never had either ethnic or religious wars. Some attempts of religion discrimination coming occasionally from governments or fanatics have always failed in society. Both Christianity and Islam have been living parallel without interfering with each other, religion playing secondary role in their social life.
â™£ I know it is difficult to understand it for both East and West. And Arabs do not understand it, too! It does not matter if you are Muslim or not, it does not matter if you are blond or swarthy, it matters how much your social behaviour matches their standards.
