I appreciate this, and
it serves as a reminder
of how Armenians had much
to do with the beauty of Turkey
today. |

Every country has its beauty in different ways of course, It is not only Turkey that Armenians contributed so much, there is also USA, Iran, Russia, Giorgia, France, Portugal, Argentine you name it.
To the Christian world:
In building their churches, Armenians made a significant contribution to the world's architectural tradition. They developed the concept of laying out the floor plan of a church in the shape of a cross. This early Christian basilica style was later incorporated into the Gothic architecture of European cathedrals.
I have never been in Turkey, but from the countries I have traveled, of course I love my country Armenia, which might be a small country but it is like an open museum, wherever you go, you will feel its ancient history. |

To us Armenians, anyplace where we can view our majestic Ararat is beautiful. Turkey, and Armenia... Unfortunately, the turks are abolishing all the khatchkars, ruins, churches, anything that has a hint of christianity (look at what they did to St. Sophia's cathedral after the fall of Constantinople ) or a hint of an Armenian past ...My Vanetzi friends in Iran, pay an annual visit to their city Van, and give money to the kurds living there, to keep the remains of churches clean. They are used as lavatories now. |

Every country and every culture has it's own beauty and originality. There is no such a thing as the most beautiful country in the world. |

Yes you are right armenians are great architects they were our angels they were annihilated because of the jew pashas. They made this land beautiful and they vanished. We owe them and we will pay back in every way. |

It was beautiful and I appreciate your effort for showing us that Armenians and Turks also have good sides in history.
Every country has its own unique beauty. Some artistic, some natural, some historical, each of them are beautiful in its own way. |

for ever

this had nothing to do with Turkey by it self, the footage was about master piece of great minds and their ability to build something which will last for ever.
for those who appreciate Art, Architectural, Land scape.
and i loved to hear to doodok the instrument which reminds me of how rich our culture is.

I've never been to Turkey. But I wish I had. I've watched lots of videos and love what I see. It is very beautiful.
I know some Turkish people and they are great people.
This is one of my favourite video/music clips:

But your question asked is there is another country more beautiful. I've seen many countries and many of them are very beautiful. One that comes to mind at this moment is Switzerland. But each country has its own beauty. I couldn't say that one is more beautiful than another. Planet Earth is a beautiful place. |

There might be a couple, depending on your tastes.
Love your homeland because it is where you are from and it made you who you are. There's no need to defend it or justify it's good qualities. |

Well, must of us think that our countries are the most beautiful but we have to admit that every country is unique and beautiful in their own ways.Yia sou. |

I visited almost all the countries around the Mediterranean Sea and i like so much Greece (not only because i'm a great fan of Maria Callas),Greece is to me very beautiful and gorgeous.Nevertheless,it depends on individual's point of view.I think every land has it's beauty and each one of us is entitled to like one thing more than another.
In Turkey i.e,i like so much the mosque Haya Sofia.
Thanks for the vid. |

Thank you for the video as I didn't know he was of Armenian origin, well as İpek said it does not make no difference as back then we were all Ottomans, race did not matter...But its very good to see a person we both Turks and Armenians proud of...perhaps things like culture, music, arts etc. should be considered as close ties between two nations not the war... |

well, i must say Turkey is one of my fav countries, but this is pretty subjective thing ;op

The only city I visited, Istanbul, was a surprise for me, altough I already know it would be beautiful. Now, I love the whole country and I hope to visit it someday.
Is there a country more beautiful?? I think that several countries have been blessed by nature and human arts, so, it's unfair to say that a country is the most beautiful, 'cause I think that there are some at least.
I am from Spain and, what can I say? I really love my country, especially the lifestyle and the behavior of people (very friendly) and the cuisine. We've got beautiful beaches, natural and national parks, mountains, historical cities and towns, beautiful festivities, gorgeous people, excellent national music, lively nightlife... yes, It's my country, I can't say a bad word about it.
There are a lot of countries that I think are in the TOP: France, Italy, Morocco, Egipt, China, Japan, Thailand, India, Australia, Argentina, Brazil, Mexico, Cuba, Canada, Romania, Russia, Norway, Ireland... and why not, the US.
I'm agree that Turkey is just marvellous, in fact, it's my fab country as well as the mine, and the best thing for Turkey, in my opinion, is their funny and friendly citizens.
It's surprising that I find some turks more similar to Spaniards than some people from the rest of the European Union countries. |

Turkiye is my country. Ofcourse I love my country. But I can't and you can't say it is the most beautiful country on earth. There are so many other beautiful places. I think you should travel more. |

As a Turk , of course my country is the best for me.
I know what you are trying to imply here: You think that all the artists, architects etc are of Armenian origin.. Well, that is not true. You know that and I know that.
The Ottoman Empire had a lot of very talented people with different backgrounds and I bet they didn't even care. Architect Sinan's origins are not well documented and even if he was of Armenian descent, what difference would it make?He was an Ottoman just like all the Armenians living in Ottoman Empire were Ottoman's as well. That is a fact; whether you like it or not.
Meanwhile, do you really think they cared about it back then?
We currently have quite a few very talented Armenian origin Turkish artists, musicians, worldwide known photographers and you know what? We don't care if they are Armenian, Kurdish Jewish, or Arabic origin Turks ...We like and admire them for who they are and what they do.
I really hope you will understand this concept sometime and stop being so negative on everything about Turkey and Turks . |
