wow a yank that actually goes abroad !

kautolo
Never wear odd socks in Paris.
Never eat Spaghetti with pair of Antelope Horns in Italy.
Never say "Heil Hitler!" in Berlin.
Never say anything in Spain.....etc

All the above will get you into deep shite!

Andrew
Generally no. In europe, the police are usually very understanding to tourists.

Just dont do anything you wouldnt at home.

lister_larger
Europe is full of countries with different laws in each.

Germany = Not aloud to have a sense of humor.
Uk = Law to get very drunk every night (I miss home)
Ireland = To get ripped off and over charged because you are not a local.
Holland = To have lots of weed and watch couples shagging.

lukee
You should be fine - as others have said act reasonably and dont do anything that you wouldnt do at home.

In the UK its probably best to comply with the law that says you've got to drive on the left hand side of the road rather than the right! Its in your own self interest

You really have to say where you are going and if you are going to drive to get information from locals and people living in the countries you are going to. Most of the EU is completely safe but some parts of Europe are really dangerous. Just like North America.

Check US state dept travel advice (travel.state.gov/travel) and, www.theaa.com, for travel laws within Europe.

Fat Bob
You'll be fine.If you get into any trouble,just say,'But I'm American.'

Depends on the country you go to, Europe is a big continent. I would generally not kill people or do drugs though.

tymoses_2011
e-mail me at tymoses_2011@yahoo.com. when r u going. i'm going with people 2 people student ambassadors on july 2nd to july 22nd. we have meetings about what laws we changes we need to get used to to go. in most countries it is against the law to chew gum, they don't have a lot of hot water so baths need to be limited, and they don't use ice a lot. most of the museums in europe strictly prohibit cameras, if caught you can be put in jail over night and never see your camera again
