Is this a civilized EU behaviour?

When EU countries are always making bad comments about Turkey, do you think it is normal that they are killing innocent Turkish people in 21st century in one of the most so called civilized country? You know this is not the first time if you people recall Solingen massacre.

Will you pass a bill?

We have been disillusioned with EU member states' lack of principle for a long time now, Elodie. And believe me, this is not a very happy thing.

So many things they critisize about Turkey happens within EU borders and nobody says a thing. People even aren't aware that such things happen.

Freedom of press? If your readers don't want to read a certain news and therefore you don't run it, does this mean you have freedom of press or not?

I think our officials are waiting for the investigation to be completed. Even if the chain of fires point to malicious intent, you need evidence to back up your claim.

No, especially when you think that Europe itself has to face her own history. They should not use Turkey as its buffer.

I have lost count of how many Turkish houses are attacked by German arsonists. It's about time the rest of Europe started worrying about neo-nazism! These people just love to set fire (remember the Crystal Nacht?). But when it comes to talk about Turkey's EU membership, they are all 'democrats' and so eager to criticise Turkey for lacking democracy and human rights. Yes, Turkey lacks in human rights. No Turkish citizen has the right to burn alive foreigners. No Turkish police has the right to beat up foreign workers. No Turkish politician has the right to criticise mal-treatment of prisoners in European prisons. No Turkish court of law has the right to set free foreigners who comitted murders in other countries.
Talk about double standarts: that's EU big powers!

Reality Bites
No and everyone shouldn't look towards EU as so high and mighty. The lot of them countries are a bunch of bigots and racists thinking they are better than anyone else. They are also forgetting that the country they are targetting is applying for EU membership.

genç türk
I second what you said.

EDIT: WTF with the clone???

ottoman
No they wont , stop bad mouthing Turkey as long as they are Muslims,
If you compare every thing else with Turkey, Europe beat us sitting down, WHEN IT COMES TO VIOLATIONS OF HUMAN RIGHTS,
it wasn't long ago , Serbs in Yugoslavia. killed and massacred people in the heart of Europe, where in turn the remaining Europeans killed and massacred them , shame of Europeans, TODAY THEY ARE IN, EU,AND RECEIVE AID FOR THE ATROCITIES THEY CAUSED,
not being Muslims , it is all forgotten, as if it never happened,
and here we are still defending what may and may not have occurred over 100 years ago, with our friends,
Here we are defending, Istanbul, AFTER 500 YEARS of not being Constantinople,
here we are defending our rights as a sovereign state, against pkk , and others who like to carve our country in to a separate states. and put a claim on, will we ever get out of being a easy touch. for these Europeans,,

I SAY BRING BACK THE OTTOMANS .THEN WE REGAIN THE RESPECT WE DESERVE, TAKE NO NONSENSES, NO PRISONERS ,,,LOL

why u believe that they are wrong? why u dont wonder what turkey done and they believe sth like that? or did she do anything bad and they believe what ever they believe? the things aren't so easy like u watch them on tv or hear.....a country if wants to belong in eur.commun. MUST follow some rules or change some rules....u denied it so many times....europ. commun. asked 1st of all real piece with Greece and turkey stop getting in our limits u denied it...then eur.commun. asked to put on table again the point of Cyprus u denied...u have to change some of yr laws u denied....why all the others countries are stupids that we done it and u want to get as u are? it's impossible this...u have to follow the rules if u want to belong to a team....all teams have rules noone player cannot do whatever heshe wants...heshe has to listen the coach...am i right? think that when we live in a country we know whatever the media want to say....if u want for real to know why all these happends watch a foreign channel BBC for example to listen 2 opinions balance them and u will find the truth...truth is allways somewhere in the middle...

Some among us in EU were really shocked with the fires in Germany on buildings where Turkish immigrants were living. So much hatred is really inhumane. Watching desperate Turkish people (or any other immigrants) throwing their baby out of the window to rescue it was too much for me to grasp.

I am not really sure whether any bill will do anything at all. Hatred is in the minds and hearts of people. That will not pass away with a bill. Quite the contrary...!

At least Turks get to know gradually what a nice, civilized union we all have made in EU. A bunch of shameful peasants that lately got few euros more to spend. That's what we really are. And fascism lives on and lives well.

Oh yes...human rights..I forgot. Turkey should really adapt the EU standards! I am fed up.
