It's not just this section. I got a thumb down once, for saying my daughter's name. So what if someoned didn't like it? Don't name your daughter that! Lol!

But I did notice, that this section in particular has the most thumbs, both up and down. I guess because there are a lot of regulars, and some topics are very controversial. This creates likes and dislikes, and some people don't even read the answers anymore. They just thumb up or down the person regardless.

Of course it's not everyone in this section that does this. My guess is, they're probably just trolls or people that cannot accept a different opinion, and make it into a personal battle.. I'm not even a regular here, and every time I answer I have at least a couple of thumbs down.

Is not only you, happens to me all the time. I answered a neutral question reg a memorial and got 5 thumbs down!

Some people have a huge inferiority complex,even if you are not Greek,but if you give a "good" comment about Greeks they thump you down.Just because you said something good about them...Unfortunately it doesn't only happen into Greek section but in other section as well.Just maybe here is more intense...
I am one of those who get lots of thumb-down (and thump-up as well) just because I am supporting my country...
And you are right,it is pathetic,when the question is irrelevant,or neutral to get thump-downs just because the answerer is you....
You know,some people has so meaningless life,and the only joy is...thump down??LOL

yes i confess iam the thumbs up guy..got so much time on my hand all i do is go around and put a thumbs up on every one. what is more horrible than a hands down is when no one answers your question for 7 weeks..ha ha ha ha..by the way does any one want to strangle the spelling quecker?.... you watch they will violate my question the yahoo team...i am beging to think they behind all the thumbs down..

Don't worry it happens all the time here with most of us.
There are some users who hate in general the Greek users or the users who support Greece or make nice comments about her with their answers.

We know who they are ...

Believe me, THEY are the ones who have the problem....not you !

I don't participate much, like many of you do, as I understand, like a hobby or something. I participate when I need to find something or just see sth. interesting where I can help. One of the reasons is that I realised there are trolls around. Don't mind them though, they don't desrve it.

Cpinatsi, you get one thumbs down and you are complaining?? Egw ti na pw? Sometimes I get 5 or 6 or more. I have come to the conclusion that certain people will give me thumbs down no matter what I say....

Unfortunately the Greek section does not have a monopole on this...
Then, everyday I see ppl that do this kind of things and base it only on ethnicity. Maybe there are some Macedonians or Albanians or Turks that don't know how to spend their time and do that to you.
If I don't get 10 like thumbs down on this answer I don't know when I will :P
