Well Russia is Asia, but I think Turkey is Europe |

It's in both. 97% of Turkey's land mass is in Aisa; the remainder in Europe. The Aisan part is called Anatolia; the european part is called Thrace. |

Turkey straddles two continents - Asia and Europe.
~90% is in asia. The Bospherous that runs through Istanabul is the line between the 2 continents. |

I'm sorry but some people is saying that Turkey is in Europe. This is almost false indeed. Only a very little bit of its territory is in Europe. And the rest of its territory is in Asia. So you should study it like an Asian country. And culturally has not been an European one ever.
I'm from Europe |

Both. In Istanbul there is a clear distinction, you can actually see the european half and asian half, as they meet there in Istanbul. |

Both. I think it is 5% of it which is classed as in Europe, the rest in Asia.
It is a Eurasian country that stretches across the Anatolian peninsula in southwest Asia and the Balkan region of southeastern Europe.
Turkey also contains the Sea of Marmara, which is used by geographers to mark the border between Europe and Asia, thus making Turkey transcontinental.
Istanbul extends both on the European (Thrace) and on the Asian (Anatolia) side of the Bosphorus, and is thereby the only metropolis in the world which is situated on two continents. |

Culturally Turkey was in Europe until the Ottoman took over and made it muslim. Then it became part of middle east. Now they want to be in Europe, but they're still muslim and that's controversial. Whether they can be Europeans remains to be seen. Geographically it is within Europe. |
