Turkey with its 780,580 km² is the third-largest among countries with part of territory in Europe (after Russia and Kazakhstan). According to the census of 2007 there are 70,586,256 people living in Turkey (17th largest population of the world).

If you are talking about a country with these dimensions, it's practically impossible to say that it's "safe".

It depends on where you travel and how you do it.

First of all, Turkey is generally spoken not a safe country for a tourist if you rent a car and travel like that. The roads are not very safe for an unexperienced driver.

If you travel with a group or if you booked a stay in a hotel or a club, it's very safe. But if you don't know how to swim you can still drown.

If you want to travel with your backpack, alone to non touristic areas it could be dangerous for a woman. Not always, but it can happen.

Well that matter always coming, i dont know how!

Do you know we dont live on earth, we are in space! here are dangerous kinds of monsters, creatures! sometimes we break foreiners to pieces and eat them! we kill everybody with our gats and guns! you should come with 10 guards and security, but dont forget we use to mix poison to foreigners' meals!
Do you think the Twin Towers were safe?
Do you think terrored train in Spain was safe?

Dont go anywhere! dont move your nose outside your window, turn on your tv, your internet and see the beauty in Turkey virtual!

Everybody, you are free to vote negatively..

Turkey is relatively safe It's like any European Country, just don't go to the border towards Iran lots of problems there... or so I've heard.

Turkey is a very a dangerous country, you might get killed in a day or two, make sure you wear your bulletproof vest when you get out of your hotel.

¿Cuál canal usted es watchin' yo me pregunto, peachtree tv? Cnn? fox news? abc? cbs? or univision?
Turquía es un muy un país peligroso, usted quizás sea matado en un día o dos, la marca segura usted lleva su chaleca antibalas cuando usted sale de su hotel.

UK is very safe. Try virtualtourist web site for more information on any country. As with any country there are good places and bad places. Always be careful and keep your eyes open for danger. Ive travelled to most big European cities and had no problems whatsoever
