I don't get why Warner Bros. is so worked up about it, that they get a comedian to contribute to its public relations schemes...don't u think its odd? They are probably a little worried. So what if some mayor said he'd like to sue, as the story suggests no legal documents have actually been served. I think the Mayor was just pulling a PR stunt to get some attention to the area, because when people know of its existence, they can build momentum and perhaps get some kind of money flowing into the area. It's no different than any other publicity stunts pulled by politicians and famous people everyday. It brings to mind the Borat vs Kazakhstan case. As they say, no publicity is bad publicity. I dont think the mayor is stupid at all, he's just doing the same thing everyone else is, and look here we're all discussing it, that in itself is an achievement. Donald Trump says one of the keys to success is to "never forego an opportunity to self promote"

We have a saying for situations like that in Turkish: "Durumdan vazife cikarmak"

So basically it means something like that: This guy sees the popularity of latest Batman movie (which is VERY good btw) and want to take advantage of it.

There are such people in Turkey, unfortunately. Last year a Turkish lawyer claimed that the shirts of Inter soccer team (Milano, Italy) were like the ones in crusades and this was against the rules of UEFA. It was after the Champions League game between Fenerbahce (Istanbul, Turkey) and Inter.

Stupid people are everywhere and I can't stand the people who are not able to use their brains! Grr!

Yes, the claim is true.

The jerk who thinks that he is making comedy is a poor untalented comedian -wanna-be with obviously not much intelligence.The thinks insults are humorous. Well, he is an American after all, you can't expect much from them now, can we?

Oh BTW, we prefer our enemies to be intelligent and smart. That is why we wouldn't get provoked but it is a real major insult for a brainless dumbass like this pathetic comedian wanna-be to even dare to say our countries name.. That makes me mad.

Turkish comedians are also making fun of this mayor and his claim. It is not a big deal.
Hence, It is good to hear those kinds of absurd ideas once a while, so that comedians do not have a subject/joke shortage.
For my part, I laughed out loud when I first read the claim.
