Lebanese food VS Turkey food?

Well, I am totally against comparison of cuisenes. Because its subjective. I mean, tastes differ from culture to culture. As a result of eating habits that settle through years, while we grow up in the culture we belong to. A chinese would like eating a snake, but I would just go throw up if I saw a man eating a rat. Or a hindu would hate me for eating beef :)

But just for the sake of the arguement, I' d say;
Turkish cuisine rocks. And if you think contrary, its because you don't know the first thing about Turkish cuisine.

First of all, world should be thankful to us for introducing such a heavenly food like "yogurt" to the world... right fellas?

And here is my top ten Turkish dishes
[ and shish kebab ain't even in the list ]
1-) Kül bastı
2-) Hünkar beğendi
3-) Yaprak sarma
4-) Kayseri mantısı
5-) Çiğ köfte
6-) İçli köfte
7-) Ekşili köfte
8-) Kuru patlıcan dolması
9-) Hamsili pilav
10-) Oltu kebabı

I'd take "künefe" as dessert and bring the check after I am finished with my "mırra". Thank you :P

And while talking about Turkish cuisine, I'd rather classify it by location. Like "Kayseri cuisine", "Medditeranean cuisine",
"Gaziantep cuisine", "Black Sea cuisine" etc.
From all those regions, I think woman from Kayseri and Gaziantep are the best cooks.

And a special note for you miss pinky;
I'm sure you know about turkish coffee but you should definetely go "Urfa" and taste "mırra" once...

my favorite is ANTAKYA kitchen where the Turkish do the Lebanese kitchen better than the Lebanese and synthising it with the traditional Turkish tastes

Hehehe. Turkish food is MUCH, MUCH more than şiş kebap. I wouldn't want to live a life without the tastes of İzmir, Trabzon, Anamur, Gaziantep, Bursa, I don't know, you name it. Not to mention all the dishes we have learned from all regions and ethnicities, be it Caucasian, Armenian, Laz, Balkan.

Of coursssse, Turkish. Ha! It was not an even race.

OK, it is not about what food is the best, what country has the best recipes, IT IS ALL ABOUT THE COOK. A good cook can make s hit taste good. So Turkish food is fantastic and the Turkish are better cooks, no matter what you say.

Asking this question in Turkey or Lebanon section doesn't make sense, I think...

You will certainly find out the culinar preferences of people who are neither Turks nor Arabs, and this will be probably a legitimate appreciation of turkish cuisine.

(by the way, we cook molehiya and mucendra (mujeddera) here in Cyprus)

depends on where you are having it....
you should have the Turkish food is Mersin or some restaurants in Istanbul....in Mersin the Turkish kitchen is somewhat different,you can taste some different recipies,There is a touch of ''ARAB'' in Mersin and its delicious.(btw my mom is from Mersin and i love the country)
I have tasted the Turkish food in Iraq and Israel and they were better then the Turkish food in Turkey....i agree with you.Never been to Lebanon but if you say its better,i may agree with you since i know its much more better with an Arab touch.
