Let's vote then... 2?

Did America apply genocide to Native Americans, disregarding their right to live? Is America still denying Native Americans their right to live in their traditional way, in their traditional homestead?

Earthling
Look at the population of the North America.

How many Indians?
How many "whites"?

Do the math.

Weesgranny: Who are Americans? Aren't they the descendants of Europeans that immigrated to the continent???

I always found it very weird that some countries try to decide the fate of other countries. Who do they think they are?
Or do they think we are some kind of a colony?
Even worse do they think there is still colonization going on? On paper there is no colonization it is forbidden and all and if you listen to their leaders you'll hear them giving idealistic speeches but we all know the truth don't we?
So if a country whose history/past isn't even long enough can decide for other countries wayyy tooo older than her in history i can also vote for them sitting in my house couch (like they do, sitting and raising the hands).
So let's cut to the chase and answer your question.
My vote is "yes" from the red couch i have here.

Mr. Bobo
Yes, it was genocide, see what happens when you don't enforce your immigration laws. Had the Indians defended their motherland from the first day the pilgrims got here. The USA we know today never would have happened.

The Indian tribes today are of course making up for lost time. Because since Indian Tribal Lands are considered sovereign territories they are setting up casinos and making billions of dollars.

The Inuit Indians in Alaska never benefited from the oil wealth of Alaska.

Wes's Granny have you ever heard of "manifest destiny"

Manifest Destiny was a phrase that expressed the belief that the United States was destined to expand from the Atlantic seaboard to the Pacific Ocean; it has also been used to advocate for or justify other territorial acquisitions. Advocates of Manifest Destiny believed that expansion was not only good, but that it was obvious ("manifest") and certain ("destiny"). It was originally a political catch phrase or slogan used by Democrats in the 1845-1855 period, and rejected by Whigs and Republicans of that era. Manifest Destiny was an explanation or justification for that expansion and westward movement, or, in some interpretations, an ideology or doctrine which helped to promote the process. Manifest Destiny as an idea, and the influence of that idea upon American expansion.

No, but they don't have much respect for them as they should.

Note to the first comment: European settlers who came to America WERE Americans. My ancestors may have came from Europe, but I still have to consider myself American.

Oh they put them in 'reservations', barren land, where they can grow nothing, do nothing, but wait for financial aid. Some of them still are second class citizens. I have seen some of those reservations, they look like tenement homes (gecekondu).

America has never used genocide against the American Indians. It was not the Americans that originally harmed the Indians. It was the people that came here from Europe and tried to settle the country.
