Yes there are temples but from ancient era
there is the temple of athena ( not really sure which goddess) at Ephesus.
Temple of Zeus ( actually the ruins ) at Mersin Silifke .
and many more spread all around Turkey . |

The Europe side has most of what you are looking for. The Blue Mosque and the Hagia Sophia are the most popular. They shouldn't be hard to find. Look for the mosques with the most minarettes (tall pointy things). Or simply ask a local. Everyone knows where the touristy things are. Beware of cab drivers, they'll likely charge you double, but most established restaurants or vendors will be a big help to you - make sure to sit and drink some tea (chai) with them and grab some culture while you are there.
Also, make sure to hit the Grand Bazaar! It's an amazing mall and one that most tourist love to see.
