Don't get a tattoo. Just think of it this way, it'll look good now but wait until you are 'old' it'll be wrinkly and seriously do you reckon it'll look good on a 60, 70, 80 year old. If you are adamant you want one, have a small flower and have it somewhere discreet. Bless. |

There is a reason that having a tatto at 16 is against the law,
Do you think that at 16 you can make the choice to perminantly scar and mark your skin for the rest of your life?
I know many people who have tattoos and regret having them done.
If the tattoo costs about £20 it will probably cost £400 to have it removed, and NO you cant get it done on the NHS
And yes I have tattoos. |

If you do, go to Amsterdam, take a look in the tattoo museum, walk round and check the tattoo shops out, sort out the art work, don't rush!
Personally, tastes change as you get older, so think hard and long. Me had my first at 17, still means something to me, nestled in amongst two or three others. If I was you I'd leave it the two years, no rush, and being 18 in Amsterdam is a whole lot more fun when you can get by without being hassled for i.d. Choose wisely, good luck. |

if your sneaking off to have a tattoo against the rules, your not ready and your just looking for something to rebel with.which means your not ready for a tattoo, have a think about this cause this will be with you for the rest of your life, unless you have it laser'd off which hurts so much more than having it done in the first place. im very proud of my tattoos i have animal from the muppet show and a surfing tribal one i designed myself, but i waited and thought about it for a good few years, around your age till i was 21, then i had my surfer one done bout 5 years after, if you really want youll wait, i changed my mind a lot before i decided, good luck whatever you do |

You really are stupid enough to want a tattoo? Go to an old people's home and see what they look like on 70 year old skin - horrible.
You are too young and immature to think about this now. What are you thinking of having done? I suppose a small one which is only seen by nearest and dearest would be OK but are you silly enough to have one that would be a pain to cover up in a few years? or a slag tag (on the back, just above the bum crease - sorry, but that's what they are known as here (kent).
Think about it for a couple of years and then see if you still want it, do it but don't expect anyone but you to pay for its removal when you have grown up! |

In Europe u should be in the legal age to have a tattoo, or have the consent of yyour perents to get a tattoo.... for example in Spain the legal age is 18, and i think the rest of europe is the same.... maybe some countries have 21 as legal age... but i have no idea.
But with 16 yrs u need permission of ur perents. |

Netherlands it is 18 too.
Those places that do tattoo you when you are not yet 18, (or have your parents there,) are the kind of places better avoided.
And I am sure you can find that kind of place in every country. High risk of aids among other things. |
