Malta or Palma in June?

There is a big gap in hotels in Malta. There are basic 2 star hotels, then a big gap up to 4/5 star which have everything you'd expect. We stayed at the Radisson near St Julian & it was wonderful - couldn't fault it. Mind you, we had a very good deal because it Feb. when we went or we couldn't have afforded it. We loved Malta but since I haven't been to Palma I couldn't comment. I wouldn't go to Malta for a beach holiday though.
Most people say you either love Malta or hate it - you'll have to go to find out!
By the way - we went everywhere by bus - we weren't scared (far better than Greece) & it was a great experience.

(ANS) Malta definately, why?

No.1 your always close to the sea and lovely beaches

No.2 easy to get around

No.3 Short flying time from UK I think its only about 2.5 to 3 hrs

No.4 Facinating History both ancient and modern (interesting history during 2nd world war).

No.5 Some of the most amazing show caves ever seen DONT miss them.

No.6 lots of very romantic places to stay & visit (lovely sunsets too).

Malta, because it is hot, quite and peaceful, for you to do your own thing

we have stayed at the grand hotel in Mjarr on Gozo and had a great time, but remember Malta and Gozo are far behind the UK in terms of facilities, some say as much as 50 years but if you want a relaxing break you could do much worse than Malta/Gozo, great history, landscape a bit barren, good fresh fish, just don't touch the prickly pears unless they are fermented and distilled first, visits to Valletta and Mdina very enjoyable, sandy beaches are scarce,go with an open mind and you could have a great time

I'll definitively chose Malta. I visit Malta quite often as my sister got married and lives there. The climate is warm all year round. The people are very nice and welcoming.

It has to be Palma, I visited for my birthday in December and thought it was a fantastic city! Loads to do and see and the restaurants and bistro's in the old town are to die for. Its also very romantic, think moonlit walks along the promenade and late night cocktails on La Rambla.

Palma is beautiful. for an even more relaxed and tranquil stay, try menorca.

Beautiful and romantic and the people are far more friendly than the Maltese.

The drivers in Malta are nuts! I went on a bus while I was over there and was well scared. That's my advice, avoid the buses.
