Really? I'm a Muslim Turk, and neither myself nor any other Turk I know eats ham, let alone would actually even consider eating it. But yes, there are some shops in Turkey that do sell pork for expats or Christians.

Turkey is a laic,democratic and free country.Turkey is not an islamic republic.There are muslims,christians,jews and atheists in Turkey and this is just between you and god! You can't tell anybody what to wear or eat.This is the way we live in Turkey so you had better not critise our lifestyle.

I have been brought up in germany and the germans eat pork a lot...even as a child I had been told to stay away from pork ...so I did.Neither I nor anyone from my family every ate pork but that does not mean I care what others do...everyone is responsible for their own actions...its a matter of choice...why some turks sell pork...its trade thing...one has to make its living somehow..

My husband is a Turkish Muslim and he doesn't eat pork. he will cook bacon sandwiches for us if we want one though. he is mature enough to respect other peoples beliefs. Pork is sold in Turkey for the tourists.

And I seen Iraqis eating during Ramadan, and Jordanians going to prostitutes and Egyptians drinking alcohol. What's your point?
