depends on when you go! ;-)
But seriously, yeah, well, it depends what you call cool! Some might find it uncomfortable, some will feel like fish in the sea!
My advice - go and check out for yourself! ;-) |

Berlin is a marvellous city. There is so much history there. |

I don't know if it's the coolest city in Europe, but it is definitely a great place to visit.
I went there about 3 years ago, and had an amazing time. There's so many things to see, and do, and the atmosphere is amazing.
I will definitely find my way back there some day.
Go and experience it yourself - you won't regret it! |

If you like graffiti, cold winters, boring cusiine and dull architecture, then it's cool. |

It depends on his definition of cool. Personal preference is always a relative matter. Let him be more specific and then you decide for yourself if you want to accept his standard for cool.
Good Luck! |

For those in the know travel-wise, Berlin is the new place to see and be seen. As other people have said, everyone has their own definition of 'cool' and probably no-one on earth has been to every city in Europe. I loved Berlin, but I've been to 'cooler' cities.
Person above me: I live in Siberian Russia. My city (Nizhnevartovsk) is way cooler. At least at the moment. |

Berlin is a city that gets cooler the cooler you are. Really. At least you have to know some cool people here in order to get Berlin the coolest place in europe for ya. Speaking for me: I'm very fine here. No place could be cooler! |

I don't know if it's the coolest city, but it is great there and well worth a visit. Personally I like Amsterdam best. |

It's in the top 5 to say the least. So he's not lying. |

As in coldness? Surely Moscow would win out there.
As in trendiness I would go for Prague, Rotterdam or Edinburgh over Berlin. Berlin has some cool things but it lacks the random quirks of some other cities in Europe. |

Probably, but not in the World...Vladivostok is the coolest City on Earth. It's temperatures are:
Mean annual temperature: 4.3°C
Average temperature in January: −13.7°C
Average temperature in August: 20.2°C
Now that's cool! |

I went last July and hated it. The people were rude, the city was dirty and everyone was unhelpful. I wouldnt recommend or visit again |
