My dad is currently in Turkey and I want to send him a care package what should I put in it?

Hoits, the asker asks about Turkey, not Afghanistan.

You don't have to worry, your dad can find anything he needs in Turkey.

Having lived various places around the world, I can say that you better ask him to send some stuff to you.
Don't waist your chance to send things that Hoits lists. Those are abundantly available in Turkey.
Send things personal rather than material.

I think you dont have to send anything to your father cause he can have anything else in Turkey as well, even he can find many things cheaper in Turkey.

If u want send him something special for him a favor of him..

lolll i agree with gugu, i was like wtf? Turkey has all that crap... anyways just send him stuff he would enjoy and cant find over there, or is too expensive there.. like gaaaasssssss kidding, something small perhaps.

well if I was living in Turkey I would like to be sent stuff I can't find there. As I could get most things there that I would need then I would ask for luxuries, ie my favourite chocolate, favourite hair products, some new hardcore CD's etc. It really would depend on your fathers preferences

Well, when I was deployed overseas I had many care packages sent to me and Ill tell you some of what was my favorite.

Beef Jerky,
Dvds, specifically seasons of favorite tv shows,
A giant bag of animal crackers,
Homemade cookies sealed tightly so they won't dry out so quickly,
Gum,
Powdered beverage mix like gatorade or Tang,
Soduku or crosswords Book,
Favorite brand of chips,
And just lots of little things of his favorites, like for me it was heinz ketchup packets, they didnt have my brand of there.

You can send him some chinese meal if he can't do without it...there are not too many chinese restaurants and the ones that exist are quite expensive...

I get care packages sent from the states all the time some of the stuff that is sent is
Deodorant = can't find good ones here
fluff-a-nutter
Maple syrup
Leave in conditioner
chocolate chips to make cookies
salad dressings
BBQ sauce
sloppy Joe mix
chili mix
and any name brand clothes- much cheaper in the states.

But you need to send what he likes. but these things my boys like,

Don't put anything valuable in it (like the watch I tried to send to my brother-in-law). Sending a package to Turkey can be pretty dodgey.
