Probably she got him wrong because of the cultural differences between your friend and her Turkish boyfriend.

I'm sure the guy got mad because she didn't let him make a sandwich for both of them. Turkish guys love to do little niceties for their girlfriends such as a tasty sandwich. And they really take it amiss if you don't appreciate their gestures.

Tell your friend to take it easy next time, to not evaluate him with her own inequalistic views, allow him to show how much he cares and enjoy his presence while she can.

I'm a Turkish man and I'm very demanding, yes. I always demand my Turkish coffee to be made within 4 minutes (it has to be mildly sweet) as soon as I step my foot inside the threshold. I also want my feet to be washed every night by my wife. I strictly tell her what to wear. No skirts over knee level. Hmm and I want my sandwich to be prepared fast, yes.
I hope I was satisfying enough a Turk for you. U can add the stuff I forgot to mention for myself. Be 100% sure, however u think a Turkish guy should behave, I and the rest of the Turkish men are exactly that way. Pffffst...
