My job pays time and a half on holidays. What does that mean?

You will earn 1.5 times your regular rate. For example, if you ordinarily earn $10/hr, you will get $15/hr. If you earn $13/hr, you will get $19.50. If you earn $15/hr, you will get $22.50/hr.

You get your wage, plus 1/2 i.e. you get $10 per hr, time and 1/2 you get $10+$5 or $15 per hour. Gravy!

If you make $8 an hour. Then you will make 8+4= $12 an hor.

It means that when you work for one hour you will get paid for one and a half hours.

If you have any choice about whether to work on holidays (your contract of employment should indicate this) then the extra money is an inducement to accept holiday shifts. But if you have no choice then the extra money is compensation for working on days when others are celebrating the holiday.

Multiply your current pay rate by 1.5 and that's how much you'll get paid for however much time you work on that day.

That means you get your normal pay, plus half. So, for example, if you make 8 dollars an hour, you would get paid 12 dollars- ( 8 dollars plus 1/2 of 8)

when u work on a holiday they pay u extra 4 ur time time and a half means ur regular rate plus half of it so $10 an hour half of that is $5 so they take ur regular rate $10 + half of that $5 and u get $15 so that's how much u will make every hour u work on holidays and overtime is time and a half 2

It means that if you make 7.00 an hour, you will be paid 10.50 an hour on holidays. You get the full hourly pay + whatever half of that is added to it.
