OK I've got it down to two, Prague or Krakow. 3 day break?

It's for my wife's 50th birthday treat. We've done the beaches etc. Time for some culture and scenery. Which one would you advise? Don't worry about clubbers, we won't go to the same places as them. Which is the most interesting, stunning, foccussing?

Prague-- absolutely beautiful tons of history and the food is superb. easy travel and if you go the Black light theatre is an amazing experience. The palace is awesome and while i was there saw a great orchestra. the best restaurant in town is Cerny Orel it is an amazing traditional restaurant. There is a great hotel.. I can't remember the name sorry but it was a palace a long time ago then was transferred into a hospital and then a Cathedral. It was amazing i think it started with an H? sorry it was amazing though very cultural.

Krakow-- once again stunning the people are very friendly and there are a ton of extremely beautiful parks. there are many outstanding Churches with a ton history and (again) great food. I'd recommend the Best western hotel relatively cheap and outstanding breakfasts.

All in All I'd stick with Prague It is a wonderful (and romantic) city. Good luck with your journey!

I vote for Prague. My friend Carrie is obsessed with it, and it sure has the culture and history!

Okay well, I personally I think that Prague would be better. Its simply full of history and beauty. The hotels are beautiful there and the food is traditional, but excellent! Its interesting and stunning by the landmarks and its full of culture.

Krakow is beautiful as well, but the people aren't as friendly and I don't think that they speak very much english. The food is good and the hotels are alright.

Krakow is amazing!
works out about £1 a pint
scenary inside the medival quarter is spectacular, amazing history, auschwitz is about an hour drive.
only bad thing is the weather, but even then it isn't that bad.
i would recommend the holiday Inn, it was really posh believe it or not!

Prague is stunningly beautiful and has great beer but you will be tricked out of your money the second they realize you're a tourist.

Prague is awesome. I was there and had a wonderful time. The views are absouletly amazing. It was one city in Europe that I think Hitler didnt even want to bomb because of the beauty. It also was very cheap and quite a lot of peeps spoke English.

My friend ventured over to Krakow and said it was good. He liked Prague better and said less peeps spoke English. hope that helps

Not meaning to put a spanner in the works - but what about Cesky Krumlov- fly to Prague then its a 2 hour bus journey.

I would recommend it over Prague.

Prague is full of tourists and is very expensive for the Czech Republic.

Krakow is stunning.

Out of the two go to Krakow!

Prague!!!

I come from Prague and love to live here!

Krakow has the stunning salt mines - a day visit in itself, with a fabulous cathedral carved into the mine, plus many other amazing things to see there. The centre of the city also has some stunning historical buildings including churches and the amazing Castle.
Also (if you wish) there is the possibility to visit an old Nazi concentration camp.
The first and last mentioned are quite emotional, the city is just pure pleasure.
The people DO NOT try and 'trick' you out of money either and are very friendly.
Prague is also beautiful but with a three day break I recommend Krakow for the diversity
