Most of all the warm welcome I always receive visiting your country! Then, the easy-going way of life, the friendliness of the people and the feeling of freedom compared to other European countries soon to be dictatorships and there is hardly any crime, so I can walk wherever, whenever! The sun is always shining, the sea is always blue, people are singing and playing my favorite game tavla (backgammon), most of all 'Nothing seems to be impossible'! Cheers to Turkey, a land where the quality of life is still great and which should be set as an example to all so-called civilized countries!

1. Rich archaeological history - yes, that's a strange thing to like a country for, but ancient history is pretty cool.

2. They've at least tried to reconcile Muslim culture with the modern age. It's an imperfect result (so far) but a lot better than nothing.

3. Increasing (though still meager) opportunities for the middle class.

handsome
It is beautiful.
Its people are nice and friendly.
It´s the only land on the face of the world that his enemies from outside and inside haven´t been able to destroy for almost a thousand years. It´s God blessed.

Frank B
I have not been there yet but really none of the things that most people say here are unique for Turkey. Sea? sun? music? food? shopping? climate? history? friendly people?

right....

This is how Greeks and Spaniards were advertising themselves in the 70s and the 80s...

What makes Turkey attractive to me and want to go there is:

1. A history of conflict between Christianity and Islam, Europe and Asia, backward mentality mixed with modern capitalism.
All a confusion that makes Turkey not fitting anywhere...cool!

2. Their "sensitivities". Most Turks I know are little children ready to open their hearts. Don't heart or humiliate them though! They bite...

3. The fact that I am Greek and it happens when I see a Turk in any of the EU countries, I look at him straight in the eyes and think : "I know more about you that you could ever imagine!!!" Such a joy...

I am thinking a touristic slogan for Turkey could be:
"We don't fit anywhere but you fit in us"
