I don't know, never been there, never met a Greek person, but I don't like them because they were officially on our enemy's side when there was that terrible war in Bosnia. They supported the Serbian aggressors, killers & invaders. While all countries were sending aid to Bosnia, they were sending it to Serbs. When the whole world was accepting Bosnian refugees, they were accepting Serbs. They supported war criminals like Milošević and Karadžić, not to mention that some Greek guys came here to help Serbs kill us. Our people who suffered a lot will never forget that. And plus, they don't like our friends Turks and all other Muslims. So, in short, I don't like them. |

The fact is greece is not a balkan country.it is a medeterian country and to prove this...turkey is on the same penisular on the european side ..i never heard it refered to as balkan country..even though its more in line with bulgraria and romania from the black sea..turkey is either been called an asia minor country or mederianian.we greeks are smack in the middle of the medeterianian sea ,i mean how can it even be considered a balkan country.but its the balkan countrys that demand its balkan to claim thier so called land rights every one wants a pice of greece..this is why these answers are false because they are only hatred driven..all answers are from disgrauntled blakan peoples..are we friendly you ask..well look at our tourist trade for the last 50 years nothing but booming.i mean that says a lot about a friendly country when 1/4 of its gnp is due to tourisim..if we where not friendly.we would be dirt poor like the balkans..this is why they are disgruntled...at least turkey has woken up and realized that its better to share the water than try to take it from others ..even thouh my biggest enemy is the turk i have more respect for the turk than the balkan.who are alwasy trying to provoc you in false situations..and are major liars in my experince..yes even the orthodox yoguslavs they share our relegion but thier way of thinking is still balkan.having said this i also have come across great people from the balkans and even turkey.but they say it only takes one bad apple to spoil the barrel.i suggest tot he balkans get your historical facts right.dotn just quote from the last 900 years...greeks have been longer than you can imagine in the medeterian.so dont think that we are going to just give in to your stupid and false balkan demands..and to the latins we only take the finger that offends or will offend..just for good measure...but just think of this if there was no alexander the great.epoch..what would the balkans fame to the world be? because all you fall back on is that alexander was macedonian ..and blah blah...but hey blah as much as you like we have historical facts on our side but you have none..... but you try to flasfy historical facts with word play wich never makes sense.but keep diging the hole you made for your self we will be there to bury you...so what do i think of greece are we friendley? ....OFF COURSE WE ARE....THE BEST COUNTRY IN THE MEDETERIANIAN.... |

I think Greece and Greeks are nice. People are fine and friendly. We should not exclude the possibility of meeting an unfriendly person. I am Greek - Cypriot, l was brought up in Cyprus, I'm living in Greece for more than 8 years and all l have to say is that the daily life in Greece is not that pleasant. ( if you live in the big cities) In Thessaloniki and in Athens you might witness some peculiar behaviours. Generally speaking Greece is a wonderful country for tourists and vacations.
I am surprised that some people are ready to negatively characterize Greece and Greeks in general without ever visiting Greece and meet its people. |
