He's selling the country, acting like a puppet of the USA. Economy is going worse and in a few years time we'll see the terrible effects. |

I can't give you a thorough explanation but I can give you a clue though. Hate Erdoğan if you're secular and love him if you want to see an Islamic Republic of Turkey |

You're not wrong and you can see this from the results %47 of this nation voted them. Although Kemal Dervis found and ruled the economic improvement of Turkey, they never used any populist politics to ruin the economy like the other former governments even before the elections.
This reminds me the age of Ozal.I believe a lot of things will go better and better in the next 5 years.
Erdogan and Gul; with the support they have taken from the Turkish nation, are the most powerful guys in our country right now, they can do anything and everything.May god help them to judge the right things. |

Maybe not directly an answer to your questions but i wanted to write after i read friends' comments.
Selling state properties is very normal i think. This is a liberal country not a communist one so state "should" sell properties, companies etc.It is a comman practice all over the world.
But on foreign affairs i'm with the others. They failed to hold country's honor and failed to secure the borders on the east. We just have to hope the new parliament will do better. |

Yes you are right. They did very good job by selling Turkiye's industries and resources to foreigners.
They sold most precious grounds, industries, mines, financial organizations etc to foreign investors.
More than half of the banks now are in foreign hands. An example of a consequence: If a Turkish company requires a bank-warranty for a Call for Tender, they could not get from Turkish banks. And foreign companies win CFTs.
Turkish specialty, the favorite drink of Ataturk; Raki now is built and sold by Americans!
Turkiye make 25 billions from Tourism and now half of it transferred to abroad to foreign investors. |

if we can buy property in a country then the citizens of this country can buy properties in our land.
selling factories which became a farm of the politicians is a good policy.i wont give a name but the factory that i used to live in it s social appartements;had a worker poulation of 11 000 when it belonged to the state itself.now it s private and 8000 workers can do the same job.so the humpback state had a good surgery. |

I think he's doing a good job in economical terms. But they are too clumsy when it comes to foreign policy and terrorism. This guy thinks like a merchant, he assumes everything will be alright if they make the economy better.
Turkey's problems are not only due to economy, they are deeper than that. You cannot solve the terror problem by following a policy of appeasement in the international arena. Someone should teach them that Turkey is not the toy of America. They should show that there is a price for American audacity. |

well it is hard to explain actually...he is not my favorite politic around here but i do really think that he is has done a gr8 job in the last couple of years...their islamic roots creates a question mark on him..anyway the point is,his party is not worse than the chp under control of deniz baykal...erdogan does not have any rivals recently which is terrible for the exact democracy...and selling the country part could be discussed further...altough i believe that we must "SELL!!!" the country, i hate the way its done....dont get me wrong guys, i am not trying to be manipulative or provocative...and also one of the most important thing is ,we havent really experienced democracy...for example it is weird to witness why people talking about democracy and the holiness of do not certainly react when the military force express themself publicly...in the moder democracy military forces do not tend to organize some press statement on political issues...anyway other friends would also wanna comment on what i have said so..lets wait for them.. |
