I recommend Yalta in Crimea (Ukraine).
It is an interesting place to visit, relatively tropical, beautiful beaches, and inexpensive for a Westerner. You will get a taste of the former Soviet Union, the Tartars, beautiful botanical gardens, beautifully restored palaces and castles, warm waters, exceptional food and great wine.
Want to fire Soviet weapons like a grenade launcher? To up the mountain and visit the Tartar camps. Want to take a weekend cruise? Leave from Yalta. Just want a good tan? You will find it there.
It is a relaxing holiday experience you will not find in most places. |

try Istanbul if you're lookin for a historical-exotic place with a night life
I can give you some links
http://www.istanbulcityguide.com
http://www.iexplore.com/cityguides/Turkey/Istanbul
sea is wonderful, tourists are generally unaware of the beaches but there are lots of islands which are 20minutes away at max.
good lucks:) |

Croatia...Dubrovnik is lovely and by the sea with stunning views.
Split is a 4 hour bus ride up the coast and is also lovely and by the sea....if you have time Zargreb has quite a different feel to it as its inland...
But Croatia is cheap, nice people, great history and somewhere different. |

Las Vegas!
I'm 24 and went there in April to get married, 20 of our family came and the range of ages was 18 months to about 65 and everyone enjoyed it and said it was the holiday of a lifetime!
The weather is beautiful and most hotels have a fantastic pool area. We stayed in the luxor and it was amazing.
Vegas is so much more than just casinos, the hotels are the most fantastic things i've ever seen, it is such a surreal place to be. There's a white tiger and dolphin habitat in the Mirage, a shark reef in the Mandalay Bay, rollercasters in the New York New York, lions in a glass cage in the MGM Grand, car show in the Wynn, there's a replica canal inside the Venetian hotel where you can take a gondola ride, i could go on for ages.........
there are loads of restaurants and cool shops, lots of bars and nightclubs, and lots of fantastic Vegas shows to go to.
There's also the Bellagio fountains, the erupting volcano outside the mirage and the sirens show at Treasure Island and the fantastic light display at freemont street.
We visited the hoover dam and the Grand Canyon while we were there and that it well worth doing.
If you like gambling of course there's loads of casinos and you do get free drinks if you are gambling!!!
Food in vegas is quite cheap and they do great all you can eat buffets.
Everyone is so friendly over there and you would have a fantastic time whatever you're into. As well it was so clean and well maintained and we never felt uneasy about our safety.
So my advice is try las vegas, the most surreal place on earth!!!! Viva Las Vegas Baby!
p.s. a lot of walking involved so take comfy shoes and lots of plasters!!! |

Have you considered the Baltic countries? I know Lithuania well and thoroughly recommend Vilnius, the capital. Baltic Air and flyLAL both fly direct from Gatwick and a few other airports in the UK. The old town is a wonderful place to wander and browse. If you like buildings with character there are over 800 UNESCO listed building of special interest. Just look at a website for the city and find out more. They have their own style of food and you won't have eaten anything quite like it I would hazard a guess. I recommend a good guide book before going so you get the most from this beautiful, interesting and slightly quirky city. It is usually hot in the summer (over 30C at the moment) and very cold in the winter (-20C) Bradt publish a good guide book which is available from Amazon amongst other places. |

Have you tried Kenya? It really is a fabulous holiday, especially if you do a safari---either 1,2,3 or 5 days and then a hotel for the rest of the holiday. We stayed at THE SUN & SAND in Mombasa. It was fantastic! |

Hi
Go to Malta and if you like easy historic exploring just jump a bus outside your guesthouse or hotel and away you go, its that simple.
Go to one of its many beaches, just jump a bus or walk to the nearest one from your hotel.
Sicily is only 2 hrs away for a 1-2 day trip which is well worth it, after Sicily their is the toe of Italy, www.ryanair.com
Stay in Paceville or St Jullans and have the best happy nightlife you will ever experience and a lovely sandy beach with lots of cheap hotels at your doorstop.
Best of all its only 3 hrs from Blighty, try www.maltabargains.com for flight only.
Have a good one, bring plenty of suncream. |

Florida. You don't have to go to Disney parks with all the little kiddies. Try instead Cypress Gardens, lovely plants, flowers, trees and a lake with theme park style rides, it's hardly ever crowded and you get a ticket where you can visit twice and pay once, much cheaper than all the famous parks. You could go to either Daytona Beach or for a quieter place, Cocoa Beach. The Gulf Coast side has St Petersburg Beach where the sand is pure white and there are boat trips out into the Gulf of Mexico. Get to the Florida Keys if youn can for pure escapism. Take an airboat ride too, its really great. Look as the NASA website and plan your trip around a shuttle launch, we saw a delta rocket go up and that was pretty impressive. A shuttle launch shakes the ground for miles around so we were told. We have just been back for our 7th trip and have been going since the kids were young and now we go on our own, its just as good with or without children. We recommend it to all our friends. We go with Travel City Direct, for about £300 extra you can travel first class in their own jumbos, it is well worth it, loads of legroom, peaceful and best of all champagne!!! Highly recommended company at reasonable prices |
