I really understand your fear. I don't live there. But the person whom I most love lives there and has to be in the center of the city everyday. Since the first attack in the city. I really can't sit happily in my house. Everyone can say they understand this but No! They can't even know how It feels.
I don't understand how can a human murder others in the name of so called freedom.
All I can do is sitting in my house and praying God for a happy ending of this madness.
Ps: To Irmak: If the tourists won't visit Turkey because of the terror. I think they already knew It always has been. Because terror is everywhere. Even in the US or In the UK where are well known with their security solutions. Do you remember London bombings in 2005? There were always terrorists and I'm afraid always will be. If the tourists are not from the space they already should know this...
Edit: I didn't forget anything. I'm living in a western country. Yes they have many two-faced descriptions about the events. But I seriously don't think this effects a tourist who is willing to visit Turkey. Because there is no where completely secure even our houses are not.
I know when someone decided to visit a country the political reasons won't keep them from seeing there. I understand what do you mean but If a person is afraid of those attacks and won't visit the country just because of that. I think they would better stay at home and should not even go out. |

I am so glad it was found. I guess congratulations sound like a dumb thing to say to the police though they should be congratulated for successfully discovering the plot and disarming the bomb.
What is with these people? Why do human beings do this to other humans?
It is insane isn't it??!! And over what???
Thank god everyone is OK.
Gecmis olsun. |

Thank Goodness nothing happened to anyone and I hope that is the last. I dread to think if there was also one in Istanbul, my son is there right now. The last one was in 2003 if I remember it right.
Vigilance is the only option. Vigilance by one and all. |

Gecmis olsun. I remember Atatürk Lisesi. Sometimes we used to pass by when going to DTCF from Maltepe.
Such ihumane acts cannot be excused by any "holy" cause! This is plain murder, massacre. These things are worse than wild animals. And someone has the face to come here and talk about kurdistan and armenia. Let's all tell him to get the h... out of here. |

Glad to hear you are safe!!!
We cant do anything. People should learn not to do such things. We can educate people and spread awareness. |

Wow, and especially on the anniversary of 9/11. Just today it was such a sad day for everybody. In one of my classes, we had to watch the 9/11 video and it almost made me cry. I find it ironic that the same-like scenario would have happened to you. |

Well because I don't know Ankara very well I got off from the university service bus earlier than I should have thus avoiding to be in Sihhiye on the time of the occurrence. My mom called me informing me of the situation, I thought it was something of small scale but I now understand that it wasn't. It's horrifying thinking that you might explode into pieces when you are happily wandering around with your friends. What is so cruel about terrorism is that you don't even know the people you're killing, you don't know their relatives, their loved ones. You instantly ruin thousands of lives. How can one's conscious bare this burden?
Edit: According to the latest news, it is the work of PKK terrorists. I guess weren't satisfied with the latest attack on a shopping center in Ulus. They obviously want to kill more innocents and attract more attention. Pathetic cowards. |

Geçmiş olsun. So sorry to hear about this. I'm sure you were terrified. Thankfully no one was hurt. My prayers are with you.
Do you know how I can read more about this? (Sorry, my Turkish is limited and it would have to be in English.) |

sadly i have to correct that the amount of the explosives are 600 kg. That means it's like a small atomic bomb! That's horrible!A "humanbeing" can even plan this! They are not human, they are not even animal! Don't worry something will be done immediately,i'm sure.By the way i know your scholl,it's in the city center.i've entered the OKS exam there :) but very close to the explosion area... |

Geçmiş olsun.Gerçekten çok üzüldüm.Malesef vicdanları yok bu teröristlerin..
They do this all the time and will.We can't stop them until we believe we are strong enough to warn America.
Also I don't think to ask this question was a good idea because foreign people (tourists) are reading this too.
PS: First calm down.I can understand you but it finished. You saved.Don't you know PKK kills our soliders everyday?Sorry but these started to come me normal.Like, realities of life. This question can't change anything.
Also I just wanted opinions about stroke, I didn't say 'Let's do stroke, I hate democracy.'
PS to eternal scream: Yes, terrorism is in everywhere but batının Türkiye'ye çifte standrat uyguladığını unutmayın.
EDIT: Ok, I understand you but nowadays Turkey is the center of world politica. You know, Kurds, elections, Israel-Suriye, America....America waited a bomb yesterday but the bomb was in Turkey! I would want people to talk about Turkey's beauty not safetly.. |

If you would only allow Kurdistan to break free and allow the Armenians to take back Ararat, we would all be living a life of peace and harmony. |
