You really need to make it CLEAR to her how serious the N word is... In a lot of places, they don't have the really strong association with that word and I've heard a few people from Eastern Europe use it very casually not even realizing how much weight the word carries in the West. Make it clear to her that she simply cannot use that word because it's extremely offensive. People say things they don't mean when they are upset so it depends how the rest of your relationship is... (For example, what do you call HER when you're mad?) Are you actually in Poland or are you in the West? This makes a difference in regards to what she should know about what's acceptable to say and do... The parent situation can suck, but it's really about how your relationship is with her, not them.

When I first went to Poland for a holiday 5 years ago I was dating a black guy and my grandmother told me not to tell anyone in Poland he was black because people would say bad things about me. I didn't care and told everyone anyway. My grandmother had a big fight about it with me and even told me to leave the house because I was embarrassing the family! I didn't understand because I was brought up in Australia and I just couldn't understand their primitive thinking. Although Poland has changed a great deal in the past 5 years this thinking still goes on because you can not really change the older generation they are like clones who are to afraid to accept what they do not know.
Anyway if she used the N word no matter how bad the argument I would NEVER stay with her it is NOT alright, it shows you that somewhere deep inside her that thinking is still there. You deserve much better then that!!!!

They are just not use to black people in Poland, not many of us, but they will accept you, and now the N word, she uses it cause it's not a big deal in some European countries, they dint know how much history that word carries, but you should really tell her about that, or just rough her up a little, but that's you, and that's all i can say, hope you all stay together.
