In general we speak Greek. A language that gave birth to Latin and the evolved from it, one, you talk now.
That doesn't mean it's obsolete. In fact is spoken by over 15 million people all over the globe.
And to compensate the inability of foreigners to talk our language, most young people talk 2-3, some even more, different foreign languages.

OK, just to let you know they are all kidding you here.There is no such thing as Greek language.
In Greece they speak a combination of sign language along with many words borrowed from other languages (hence the movement of the hands when they talk and the many words that nobody understands).
BTW you ever heard the expression "it's all Greek to me"? Now you know where it came from:))))

well it is a long stretch did Pericles speak the same language like papadopoulos well would papadopoulos understands Pericles well not the ancient Greeks had Greek language and Greek religion the new Greeks they don't !! everybody will tell Greek but they would not understands each other like Jewish for example or Italians !!
