Reccomend me a holiday destination!!!!? |
the challenge: suggest somewhere for me and the old man to go on holiday {40 and 46yrs}
likes: sunny days, lazy nights,peace and quiet, local bars and restaurants, but nowhere too crazy!but nowhere thats too dead either.
dislikes: big hotels, all inclusive, evening entertainment, kids clubs and the rugrats that inhabit them, "ingleesh bars" and anywhere too touristy.
europe preferably, only going for a week in september and dont want to be messing about with long flights! |

Turkey is excellant Marmaris for nightlife Altinkum and Icmeler is good for families. Lots of people are stereotypical of Turks, they are so friendly very clean. Highly recommended |

TURKEY. Go to Icmeler, lots of really nice small hotels and apartments. Great restaurants,bars and very cheap to eat and drink.Only downside is quite a long flight 4 hours, and 2 hour transfer but well worth it. Very friendly peope and very clean.Avoid Marmaris,too big and too loud! Other alternative is look at Olu Deniz as this is a small resort,so its good if you want a quiet holiday.Weather is lovely in september,not as hot as july and august but still great. |

I would suggest Switzerland, this is my favourite country, i find it just beautiful. In particular there is a place called Lucerne, which I absolutely loved, its just gorgeous! I can remember going for a cruise on Lake Lucerne and feeling like I was in heaven. |

I asked a similar question yesterday (we are having a second honeymoon away from the kids - yay!)
I've been scouring brochures and I fancy Madeira or Corsica - both of which are great for couples - so I am told by my travel agent friend.
I personally want to avoid anywhere that you might see the words - kids club, kareoke, bingo, sunday dinner and all day english breakfast!
I would be happy to pass my friends details on to you if you want to e-mail me, she works from home and is very experienced!!! |

I am a big cruise fanatic. It is all you want it to be. September is the perfect time. Kids are back in school, and it is not to tourist flooded. Good Luck. |
