Recommendations for Turkey please...?

Planning to go to Turkey for the first time. Not sure where to go though. Need to narrow down options and am looking for some advice please! e.g. Turquoise Coast, Aegean Coast or Mediterranean Coast? Interested in culture, nice beach etc but definately not dense tourist spots. Looking for something with a bit of life though! Any advice gratefully received.

icelmer or olu deniz are beautiful. they have bars and restuarants but are quite chilled and laidback. amazing beaches and watersports.

i worked and lived in a small village called sarigerme which is about 20 mins from the dalaman airport. It is very unique and has great beaches. there is alot of culture there and some nightlife with a few bars/restaurants. u need to get about in turkey to see things and you can drive to places like marmaris/dalaman/dalyan/bodrum/fethiye etc and these all boast great history and attractives olu deniz is less than an hour away and has some of the highest rated beaches in the world. everything is relatively cheap if you look around and most places will have decent english speakers. if u like it hot then wait until the end of july and you can expect 50 degrees c. you should be aware that alot of turkey has got "dense" tourist spots and only by going to local villages will you get away from this.

I recommend any beach town between Edremit (Aegean coast) and Antalya (Mediterranean coast). I specifically recommend Olympos, near Antalya.

Altinkum would be at the top of my list. ALTINKUM means “golden sands” and with its beaches which gently shelve into the inviting turquoise blue Aegean, you will soon see how the resort got its name. Excellent Beach life in Altinkum has also got water sports.
A friendly resort and you will find the locals 'laid back' and relaxed in their attitude towards tourists. You will get to know them quickly and they will enjoy nothing better than chatting over a glass of Turkey's famous apple tea or maybe a pint of Efes Beer. Don't be surprised if you return year after year to visit your newfound friends

Never win
If you not sure take a look at this give you a run down of turkey resorts and hey! you might even pick up a cheach deal

Enjoy Turkey BTW

Ilived in turkey and i marries a turkish man i would say dont go to the aegean coast as its very very lively kusadasi is famous for bar street and it stays open till 4 am and marmaris is famous for its open air discos check your tour operator for small villages in turkey that have lots of character there are lots of places that offer relaxing holidays with a bit of night life but not just as mad

Yahu Anzaz
Be sure to carry enough food because you will eat only turkey when you get there...
