As an american who is married to a Russian you won't get any skinhead attacks. Moscow is a pretty safe place to visit. Alot safer then Detroit Michigan, or Nevv york city.

If you are black man be prepared to be treated differently on your journey into Russia. There are not many blacks in Russia as your appearance bring different opinions. I do not know this skinheads but I am from Omsk in Siberia. I do travel to Moscow frequently to visit family. One thing for certain, do not drink alone in club after dark or walk alone at night. Bad things happen at night in Moscow but like every big city bad thing happen. Good luck on your visit.

Oh, don`t worry and don`t make this "thing". All excellent hotels like Ritz-Carlton, Swissotel, Le Meridien, Marriot, Hyatt are situated in Moscow center, which very secure and protects by Moscow Police Department callin` in russian Militsia. I think, don`t walk in subway after 8 p.m. and watch out for your wallet:)

Lots of russians are racists but they are friendly because they see other skin color people everyday, so they got used to it. Don't worry, probably if you do this on the streets russians would just think about you as about poor retarded man :-)
