Sharks in Greece?!?!?

I am going on a cruise in the Greek Islands...are there any sharks that I should worry about? Or jellyfish, stingrays, etc?

there are sharks in every sea, but in the Mediterranean, we're talking about small, scared creatures, noone ever get to see, so don't worry.
now jellyfish, we have. but i've never had any bad encounter with them, in the 20 years of my life, and i do spend a month at least practically living on the beach and in the water. i guess it depends on where you are. but then again, if you happen to find jellyfish, you just ask the barba (uncle) at the tavern, and he tells you to go to the right side of the island where the water are clean. or you just walk 100 meters to the other end of the beach. it usually does it too

Tranquility
Clear sky is confused,
There is many sharks in the Aegean sea and some of them are deadly.
I do have proof for it from the old newspapers, when people got attacked an died.

Yes, there are a few sharks and jellyfish, but only in the open waters. Do not worry about either of these the sharks are really rare as well. I went to the Ionian Islands and all i saw was dolphins, whales and fish. Also seals (which are extremely rare) live in Greece. So nothing bad really to worry about. Remember, you are more likely to die on the cruise then from a shark. Have a nice trip!

there are some jellyfish but not sharks!

Zumbambue Colarad zak
No sharks whatsoever. some jellyfish from time to time, rarely at popular beaches. Dont worry (unless you are into extreme water sports).

They are quite rare, especially near the coasts...

The real حقيقي اليونانية Sophia
Only in open waters, and jellyfish are only in open waters also. There arent any stingrays that I have heard about but there are a lot of dolphines and humongous turtouises.

Jacqueline
there are no sharks but there are jellyfish, sea anemones (my cousin got stung by one) and sea urchins.
But don't get all freaked out, nothing will happen 2 u

Vasiliki-Βασιλική
Sharks , only in open waters, and never happened and incident to the swim areas (close to coast I mean).

Jellyfishes exist, not in all of them, but you should have this in mind,

GREEK CIGAR
Dont worry about that, what you should really worry about is the high prices on the islands. lol
