Poland is now part of EU, if you're EU citizen you can go without visa (only with valid passport or ID) |

Unless you have a passport from one of the EU countries I would reckon you do. I'm goingto Poland in May with my friends (both Polish) & I know I don't need a passport, but then i'm a British Citizen. |

No, you cannot without a visa and your valid passport.
If you are a Sri Lankan citizen , you are not a citizen of an EU country and therefore, you do need a visa to visit any other European country except Germany because you already have one and the UK because Sri Lanka is part of the Commonwealth of Nations. |
