Should I visit France or Greece this summer?

I speak French, but I don't speak any Greek, which actually wouldn't be much of a problem. So, which one, in your opinion, is great to see especially during the month of July and/or August?

Depends, Greece is deffinately the destination if you like it hot. The Greek islands are really nice (dont do island hopping though...it gets really boring). France is a little cooler, greener but doesnt have that 'holiday' feeling I guess. Both are nice but I would stay out of the capitals. Paris is generally not on my top 10 list but in summer it is awful as it's crouded everywhere.

I know of more history in Greece but, it depends on what you want to see

It depends on what type oh holiday you want: the majority of people go to Greece for a beach holiday, or for a cultural one, doing the sightseeing tours of the Ancient Greece monuments. Some combine the two, although Greece is packed with history and has thousands of seaside resorts, islands big&small, beaches and such and it's difficult to squeeze everything into one holiday. The time you plan to travel would be the hottest in Greece. The language wouldn't be a problem in Greece - English is widely spoken there.
France has both too; it's rich with history and places to entertain yourself... Its art museums are world famous..

I'd always follow my personal likings and affinities: if you have any, just follow them and let them take you to the place you prefer.

Personally, I've been to both countries, on more extended journeys, and I'd say that nothing beats Greece in summer. It's the place to be.

Greece!

summer means sun,swimming, beaches.....
If you want Eiffel tower you can see it spring or autumn but summer is for Greece.
You ll have no problem because especially in touristic places everyone speaks decent english or at least good enough to communicate...
You ll find everything you want in Greece
Great beaches,sun,sightseeing,history,coulture... and welcoming people, delicious food, after all,Greece is the safest country in the world.....
wherever you decide to go ,have a nice vacation!!!!

France = hot and very cultural
Large French cities are quieter cos the natives head for the beaches or the hills

Greece = very very hot and (in parts) very cultural
Most of the culture is in and around Athens
Athens in August would be almost unbearably hot

My vote for France - but if you plan on relaxing by the sea then the Greek Islands are wonderful

Greece. Americans are treated better there. I have been to both and enjoyed greece much more than france. There are some nice places in france, but in general, they hate americans.

You should see France at least once in your life, so I'd say France, assuming you haven't been there before. There is so much to see in France.

Edit: You guys giving us thumbs down does not change the truth of the matter.
