Should my Mum spend 2 days in Rome or Paris? And why?

hmmm...this is interesting lol

i learnt french for 4 years and switched to italian so im probably gonna go for Rome

just warning ya...both paris and rome got rude people, italians think people are poor if they dont dress up to the nines when there out and if they see you without shoes on lol

and paris is kinda rude too but i cant really remember

but i would probably go for rome, theres more to see and do

Rome. For sure. It's beautiful, with so much history. Every corner you walk around you see something amazing, and the whole city is like that. Check the Forum (get one of the audio guides), and the guided walking tours are good. The Vatican museum and St Peters are breathtaking. Watch out for pickpockets though (in the touristy areas), we were fine but friends have had problems. The people are generally really friendly and the food is amazing.
Paris is vastly overrated. It's nice for about a mile around the Eiffel tower, after that it sucks and you'll probably get mugged. Its VERY expensive, like $20 for a beer expensive in some places. And the bathrooms are disgusting. The Parisians are generally not that nice either.

Try Rome. Parisians don`t seem so friendly. That`s a nice trip.

Both are awesome but seriously I'm in love with Rome, I think your mum should definetly go there. It's beautiful and ancient I'll choose no where else, there are alot more things to see & eat anyway the point, Rome's great. Paris is good too but the last time I went from Rome to Paris I find it kind of expansive there. still lots of shops & good food.

I would suggest Paris,because its nice every one is so friendley,caring and there is lot of fun there.lot of places to see.specialy the restuarants,food its unique.

Rome - it's closer to all those locations you mentioned plus
so much more to do in a short time span.

Vatican City can take an entire day so plan wisely if she wants to do that.
Rome is living history - excavations still going on - so she would definitely find alot more there.

Weather is unpredictable in both. And tourists never really care about how friendly the locals are. They comment on it later but it never stops people from seeing the special places. Have fun....

Rome if she wants to meet civilized people who would know any English, the Italians are much nicer and open, but Paris is much more beautiful... However, the French make a personal proud of not learning English.
She should be careful in Serbia and Bulgaria though, in Serbia with the recent events the situation is unclear, while Bulgaria is very dangerous for their thieves.
Austria is nice as well, although the people might seem distant, and she should not miss the Danube Delta if she goes to Romania.

I think she should choose Rome, it's a much more historic city and I hear the people are nicer..that would be my choice anway lol.
