It should be after these reforms:

1- The agreement of the so-called Armenian genocide (In these days only france confirms that so-called genocide but I think its a preparation of the agreement of the EU)
2- To recognize the South Cyprus
3- To forget North Cyprus Turkish Republic, even to leave the Cyprus
4- To let the Kurdish people to set up a country
5- Even to leave our East and South East lands for Kurdish
6- .....
7- .....
8- .....
9- .....
to be continued till the map of T체rkiye will have only Ankara!!!.

So, its impossible for T체rkiye to join the EU.

Might be possible with THE SALESMAN TAYY캅P becoz all the above sh*t matters have been put on the agenda during his governing.

It sounds like there are a few more reforms that are requested, but if Turkey makes the reforms, then yes.

@Cyprusguy, my soul is already clean believe me. I have nothing to do with what some people from my country did in the past. I'm not unclear, I don't have to clean my anything. What you say is ,I think, insulting me. You're right about the military issue and the democracy issue but please don't tell me to clean my soul. I am sorry about what happened in the past but I don't have to apologize because I didn't do anything. Nobody has to. Germans doesn't have to either. (for holocaust)

In fact I like, I love the Greek, if only there were no cyprus problem and we were happier.

I am ethnically a Yugoslavian Turkish citizen, meaning that I am culturally and genetically quite European, having wandered throughout Europe and met people of very different backgrounds and origins, which urges me to be more open-minded; In fact I am still totally against the European Union, as Turkey simply don't fit to any norms of Europe. Europe is not sincere in any of the given facts, but ruining Turkey's interests in any opportunity. It has nothing to do with the so called reforms (given the newly admitted countries which had much poorer democratic environment and humanitarian records, far back from Turkey), but The Continent is more interested in undermining Turkey's integrity on the sly, via a balancing tactic so that they can compell Turkey onto them but also by prohibiting it from uniting with possible allies within the perimeter, having no problems with implementing a reputed double-standard disguised in various forms and ridiculous alibis. (See the so called Armenian Issue, Cyprus Issue, Kurdish Issue, against Turkey in all cases, even when Turkey is clearly the right side, while Noone mentions the The Actual, No-Doubt Massacres against the Turkish Populations and their Subjects, see Massacres in the Balkans, Yugoslavia, Azerbaijan etc.). Noone can possibly persuade me in favor of the EU while France, a long time ally of the Ottoman Empire, could occupy the Turkish lands in a greedy fashion before and after WWI and dont even blink an eye to accept the reckless Armenians claims, without any serious objective discussion, just for the malicious politics. Almost the whole Europe is constantly and firmly implementing a serious calumniation and defamation policy, assisted by the strenghtening of the prevailant prejudices against the Turks and Turkey. The "other" notion has long been in its niche, and Europeans do not intend to get it out at all, but firm it in there.
It would be very awkward for Turkey to be in desperate trials to get admitted to a union where nobody wants her in, and treats her like a second, third class citizen, in hostility, with so called lectures of humanity while they have been the top discriminators, if not racists, the whole time. Who enriched our vocabulary with the words, "racism", "fascism", "holocaust", "slavery, slave trade" where those notions were simply unknown in the East?...

They should be accepted,however reforms must be made and issues addressed, i.e. Cyprus and the Kurds. People who say it should enter because it is muslim are wrong as the EU is a secular organisation. Economically it has to meet all of the requirements for a stably economy. It also has to abondon the death penalty and completey remove any acceptablility of torture. Which actually means the US would not be able to join even if it wanted to.

I don't wanna to be accepted into EU and I think most of us don't want too..But if our government want it so much (as we see), then ok they can enter to EU..But alone :-)

If you want to enter a Union you must feel that you belong there,and must want it very much,since they will ask you to
make many changes.The question is ,is Turkey ready and capable to make those changes?

Yes, absolutely. Further expansion is the only means to block deeper integration (or, if we're lucky, reverse the integration that has already occured).

Not until they change how they run their country. It's amazing that the Turksih people get upset with the EU "demand". They should be demonstrating against their militarily controlled governement. they should be pushing against the occupation of Cyprus. They should clear their souls from past crimes by accepting what happen apologise and move on. How can a ppl accept their governement brutalise their fellow citizens for being Kurds and keep quiet like this. The Turkish people must rise to the occasion. These should not be EU "demands" these should the Turkish people's demands against their gov.
