Perhaps you might elaborate as to which categories are most important to you. For example:

In which country must you bribe a policeman the least amount of money to beat a phony charge? Which country has the least pollution? In which country is an opposing political voice least likely to get Excedrin Headache 357? Which country has rock music least likely to induce projectile vomiting? Which country is presently in the 21st century? Which country could have their capitol nuked and cause the least amount of disruption in the citizens daily lives, but cause the most celebratory parties throughout the rest of the civilized world? Which country could have taken over the world if their military wasn't drunk all the time, and afraid of the Japanese army?

On the other hand, which country has pretty decent hockey players?

Ok, looks like a draw to me.

In my opinion, Russia is not better than the usa/ the usa is not better than russia, both countries have their pros and cons, therefoere they r equally good or bad. Please stop asking people if a country is better than another country.

Some ways America is better: weather, multicultural (in cities), more big cities with diverse and wild nightlife, easy shopping and convenient services, customer service, beaches, modern films and music (notall good), and if you're rich, you can keep more of your money. It's easier to travel with a US passport.

Some ways Russia is better: public transportation, education, openness to science, historical art, architecture, music, ballet, etc. If someone is poor, maybe life is just as easy in Russia as USA. People are more loyal and family and friends stick together more.

This is a question that has no answer, or too mant answers - depending on who is answering. Also, as someone already pointed out, it is not good to compare countries, each one has positive and negative traits.

I live in the U.S., but I loved my country, Russia, while I live there. I enjoy U.S. standards of living; the fact that a single woman of 25-27, or even 35-40 is NOT considered an old-maid and no one shows a finger at her, and calls her 'crazy'; the fact that if one wishes, one can achieve things he or she wants (career-wise) without bribing, kissing- up or having 'connections'. But I love Russia for its rich culture, for the fact that as long as I, my children and grandhcildren (and more generations ahead) will live, Russian literary and artistic legacy will be admired and respected. I love Russia for its people, for no other people endured so much as ours. And of course, I love my religion and church, and may Russia's faith be reborn in the new generations to make it a spiritually strong state.

In terms of a place to live I believe both nations are tied. As another person put it, there are pluses and minuses, but overall it's a tie. I live in the USA and have no plans to move anywhere, although I would love to vacation in Russia.

Russia by far, at least it's population is not know in the world as brain washed puppets, yes in america you can buy lots of goods and they got modern liveing standards, but that no way compensates for being know in the world as brain washed!

i don't think so.....The U.S.A is a beautiful place to be in. also, technology wise, the U.S is in way higher level than russia. trust me, as much as i hate the U.S.A, i think their country is better than any other country.
