Totally Blunt

Terrorists are sabotaging our forests?

Before this year, they chose to blow up tourists, but it seems they stopped this because bombings are met with reaction from Europe. Just a few minutes ago, Forestry and Environment Minister Osman Pepe declared that this summer's fires up to today consumed thrice the forest area that was consumed last year.

Does this mean terrorists think Europe won't mind that they are burning trees, tortoises, birds, foxes, rabbits, squirrels and any other creature living there? That they think they can wreak havoc on living things in the name of a so-called "freedom fight"? What is your opinion?

Kitty, security forces have long been warning the public that PKK terrorists were approaching seaside towns through mountains and forests. So, yes, there may be some arsonists other than terrorists, but no, the manner and spreading of arsons shows this is more than our "ordinary" arsonists.

You remember the "mavi çarşı" fire? When they arrested the perpetrators (all kurds, of course) they had a smile on their face.

I remember seeing that smile somewhere else: The murder of Hatun Sürücü in Berlin by her brother-A honor killing of course. For germans, it was a case where the asocial, barbaric turks murdered their own. For knowing eyes, it was a ritual of the kurdish culture.

No they did not have any regard for that 13 lives that were lost in "mavi çarşı", how do you expect them to have regard for fir trees, fresh grass, squirrels, tortoise, birds??? They don't have any regard for life in general.

Of course "some" forest fires are started by terrorists. And those arsonists are not armed terrorists. It could be a person lives next to your door with sympathy to PKK. Those just don't have the guts to hurt you they can only assault defenseless nature.
Killing the nature has no excuse like killing innocent people.

Airpole
Forest fires are an international problem, and mainly are caused by our general indifference for the environment and nature. And I mean the indifference of you ,me my neighbor, my relative and absolutely everyone.
Up until a week ago fires were raging in USA, France, and many other places. When fires burn in the States I can not imagine Bin Laden putting them on, or Islamic terrorists for those in France.
The loss of a forest of the all decreasing total of the earth's forests is a loss for every and each one of us, but mostly from our children that will have to live in places without their breath-giving lungs.
It is surprising though that you and your co-patriots once again turn your accusations to terrorists in general but deep down you mean Kurds and PKK. What about plain arsonists who can put a fire on, just for their joy or for the plain profit of
exploiting the burned out land?
More likely to be them, than PKK.
A few years back, almost officially Turks were accused for the fires in Greece. Do you find that credible? I don't.

From what the news and everyone is saying, The terrorist threat on the US right now is very high, they havent baltely said when or where they are going to attack but from what they say its going to be on US soil and its going to be soon. I just hope we can get these crazy f*cks under control in there country before more innocent people die in our country. I believe if it comes down to it, most of us americans have the balls to fight for whats right and we have the largest armed forces in the world and we have some of the crazyest serial killers anywere, if need be, i would send the serial killers to iraq to take care of the terrorist

Kostas S
Certainly they are no terrorists. They are people who are doing this for profit. They are expecting to make easy money by build the whole area at any cost. They can not understand how important for our life forests are. They are criminals yes, terrorists no.

istanbul bogazi
I am too sad for those fires. If these are terrorists as you say( and there is a strong possibility) those who kill innocent people are not going to mind killing the trees, animals neither.

Irmak
Unfortunately. Here Bodrum we saw 5 fires in 2 weeks...

I'm just soo angry....I don't care about EU or other political things..Our trees die.We won't able to breath after 10-15 years...

hello
maybe some rich kids having fun in the forests like in the past or maybe its because weather is very hot who knows.

Of course Europe won't mind unless their citizens die. They don't care anything but themselves.

You have no character! And to clone my account is really childish!I guess the therapy is not going well!
