Thinking about going to Turkey?

I just got back and I LOVED it there!

Check out my video:
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=LdPnk35nR08

Originally I wasn't into going because I only knew of Turkey through the film "Midnight Express" and of the political problems that I heard of recently in the news.
But when a couple of spaces opened up on a tour that a friend hosted and it was cheap (compared to other european countries) I decided to give it a go.
I'm glad I did. The people are very friendly, the food was so delicious and the sites are incredible. And we only went to Istanbul, Cappadocia and the Gulf of Gokova!
I am so looking forward to going back.
And yes, it's safe. There was a lot of security especially in Istanbul. So PLEASE, GO VISIT THIS COUNTRY! IT'S A GREAT PLACE!

I have visited Turkey all the seasons of the year..And i am here, nothing happened to me..
The only thing that may happenes to you if you go in the winter to Istanbul, it is the rain...be sure..But i adored the city even if i had to be under the rain, for Istanbul, i would be also under the snow...
Other negative thing it may happen to you...The food...It is so delicious that you ll be back with some kilos more...
So, dont worry.Dangers there are everywhere in the world..
The Aegean aprt of Turkey is so beautiful, enjoy it.
There is everywhere police too.I remember we assisted in a music concert once of Funda Arar, and all the place was surrounded by police..
Even at the beach...There is security, so be calm..

Cool video, I'm glad you like Turkey :-) You should definitely go again, because there is just so much more to see! You should definitely go to the south coast of Turkey and see the cities there are along the Mediterranean sea.

It is so heart warming to hear people having a good time in my beautiful country. Thanks for sharing your feed back.

Every country has its ups and downs but it is more important to at least try to see the good parts which ı believe you succeeded at.

We have a lot of other nice places and Cappadocia definitely deserves a second visit.

Hope to see you back soon and if you have anything to ask or assistance, please feel free to ask either here or at our personal e-mails.

Midnight Express is a bs movie. It's very sad how people who have no idea about Turkey become haters after watching that movie.

Thank you for visiting, btw. Turkey is a very beautiful country, indeed. I hope you go back to visit next year/ :)

thank u...customer experience is the best advertising, they say..it is right ha..

Midnight Express story happened in 1979...
Abu Grahib and Guantanamo happened since 2003...

You can't judge a country only with a political propaganda movie ( by the way, the director Oliver Stone had apologized...)

Should we judge whole America and the 300 millions US citizens because of a couple of thousand of dirty GI's ?
