Rick, life is as sweet for men who respect and care for their family members. I gave a thumbs up to you just to prove you are mistaken about the thumbs. :P

Anyway. Bro, if I am not mistaken, this is the third time you are asking the same question. Still, if there is anything I can help, I would like to do so. So, here are my insights based on long experience (I won't say how long, though):

1. Family and friends don't give you happiness by themselves. You have to know how to appreciate them. You can understand their value only after a long period of loneliness. So my advice: STOP EXPECTING HAPPINESS FROM THEM AND ENJOY THEIR PRESENCE.

2. Entertainment alone doesn't give you happiness. Leisure and entertainment are enjoyable only after long hours of work. Else, entertainment becomes a must-do and you'll not enjoy it. So my advice is: STOP THINKING ABOUT HOW YOU WILL ENTERTAIN YOURSELF AND CONCENTRATE ON YOUR STUDIES.

3. Life isn't all about meeting your obligations and filling your leisure. There are certain things that make you happy, and with this I mean happier than the rest of things. It could be listening to music or making music, watching films or making them, it could be photography, novels, poetry, looking after pets, anything. Knowing that you take special pleasure in that particular passtime, you can enjoy it more, you can make research into it, you can go further and start creating your own work. So my advice: KNOW YOURSELF AND START CREATING, EXPLORE NEW ACTIVITIES.

And a last word: however bored you may get today, tomorrow you will know yourself and your world better. You will find your place in it. You will know how to contribute, how to change the society in which you are living in and you will feel better. All teenagers live through such periods and trust me, bad feelings pass and what you create meanwhile last.

And for the love of god, STOP ASKING THE SAME QUESTION OVER AND OVER AGAIN!

This is a normal adolescence depression, dude. Teenagers are the very best at finding themselves problems to worry about. Gifted trouble makers! huh

I remember myself when I was 16. I used to feel like I do not belong here and nobody understands me at all. Even my nickname on the internet was "suicide"! Check out the misery! (I reveresed it to edicius 4 years ago, well I'm not very good with changing I know:)

Believe me these feelings won't last long. Find yourself a date, keep away from drugs, change your outfit time to time, maybe you can have some tatoos or body piercings, get yourself new hobbies, and make some new friends, just try to enjoy the free days of your life. Nothing will be this easy when you're 24 with all the responsibilities.

none of us knows how our lifes will turn out..you can not plan it, well you can but it never ends up that way...what makes me happy is that stop thinking about what would happen if I had done that and this etc. or perhaps I should take a different way in the past instead of that I cut my loses and be happy with what I have now and have hope for the future...believe in destiny will take you and show you where you need to be and what you need to see...

we are all travelers, dont worry too much about the stuff...if you dont wanna talk dont talk, if you wanna sing, just sing, perhaps you need a little break and do not feel guilty about that

Lets see what God will do for you tomorrow
be sure whatever he does he does it all for your good...

You are getting elder boy....

Şükür Allaha..... (hallelujah)

this is the sentence that keeps most of us straight and strong...... Hallelujah for the things that you have, Hallelujah for the things that you can have but dont have now, Hallelujah for the universe, Hallelujah everything..........

And one more thing.... Everyday is different from the other... Couse earth is spinning, time is passsing, as you reading this sentences you got 20 seconds older... you arent same as the one 1 second earlier....

When I'm feeling blue I always read comics. They're a life saver :) Other than that, whenever I feel depressed I make myself chocolate pudding. (Dr. Oetker's chocolate pudding, just made it yesterday lol )

About that "How's life going to turn out" concerns, as long as you are healthy and your loved ones are alive, there is nothing that can turn your life to hell. I've experienced it and you realize how perfect your life was before and you regret that you've never noticed it. Thankfully, everything is fine now.

Even if your life isn't going the way it's supposed to go, just remember that everything has a solution, why assume the worst, when you can assume the best? Try to be optimistic, believe me, it is one of the keys to happiness :)

Ok I am not turkish but I understand the culture.
I am not sure why you singled out Turks. but I can give you an insight.
Turkish women can be independant but choose when and where they want to be. Usally the men sort out all there problems so as long as this is happening then life is great. not only that but they bond with there other female friends and family to form a pretective force from any other problems the may encounter.

So life is sweet for a Turkish woman.
They get all the backing and help they need.
What more do you need in life ?.

Turkish men on the other hand get the harder end of the stick. Its pretty much all up to them to sort out all the problems and take the flack from the women when it gets tuff..
The new generation of Turks are seeing it more equally, but only just.

I am sure I will get thumbed down by the by the carear minded turkish women for my comments .
but you know I am right
