It is easier to go from Greece to Turkey and tougher the other way around as Greece represents the border of EU and stricter measures (forced by EU) apply.
In both cases you need a valid passport. You don't need a passport to travel between Schengen countries. For example, you don't need a passport to travel from Greece to the Netherlands and most EU countries and vice versa. You need just a valid ID.
