great night life,
many beaches,
cheap prices,
hospitable people,
many foreign tourists,
delicious traditional food.
so many cultural and historic sites (365 churches, one for every day of the year, middle age fortress, place where one of the first European universities was established)...
there's also the traditional Gradiste Beach party, one of the best in the region and Lenny Kravitz is coming in Ohrid in August...

Bulgaria - It has so much places to visit. Lovely beaches, great historic landmarks, beautiful mountains, rivers and many other things. Stay out of cities, go and see the nature ;)
Croatia - You have to go to Dalmatia! One of the most beautiful things I've ever seen. It's really expensive though ;), but it's worth it. |

Slovenia is also worth fro checking out! People there are friendly and speak nice English, the price level is not yet too high, the country is relatively clean and not too crowded even in the summertime, etc.! I spent a fabulous week in Portoroz by the Adriatic coastline last July and was basking in the sun there! Lots of spas and beaches... I also visited the northern part of the country and the mountainous landscapes there were just breathtaking, especially in areas like Bled & Bohinj!!! A really genuine, hidden gem most people don't know about!!! |

Roumania is well worth a visit, Croatia has some very scenic coast. Bosnia is OK (Sarajevo is good) Didn't think much of Serbia or Bulgaria. |
