Yeah, Istanbul is developed and modern. And also it has more traditional things than London, Paris etc. (I think this makes it beautiful and different) But of course there are places which aren't developed, called suburb, like in every big city in the world. They are mostly in Asian part. |

I have been to Istanbul and it is fully developed. It is a beautiful city with everything one could ever want. The spice market is absolutely wonderful. Oh, I'm from the USA, so that gives you an idea of where I'm coming from. Do visit Istanbul. I felt safe there and I would go back in a heart beat. |

Istanbul is as developed as the other cities you mentioned and probably even more beautiful. Maybe the buildings in some areas of the European side are not as good preserved or chic as in Paris but it has a magic atmosphere which other cities do not have. If you go to the Asian side of Istanbul you will be astonished by the elegance, the streets and the shops. x |

Well when u say Turkey-its not only about Istanbul,Ankara or Izmir. Its about the whole Turkey. Even educational level of citizens may change the dilemma.Of course its famous,Istanbul maybe is the one of the most populated city in the world, its also has strong economic background, but Europe and other different powers don't let Turkey to become strongest Empire yet. |

Of course it is a developed country. Its transport system works better than most other European countries, it is crazy to compare it with places like Greece and Bulgaria which were backwaters of its empire. |

I am from Turkey and I have been lots of states in usa. I have seen a big differences in usa as well since some part of nyc is great, the most beautiful and some part is terrible like africa.I mean This is the same for all countries especially countries have a big population.Turkey is same as well. And lastly compare Turkey to greece and bulgaria is a disaster. |

My idea of a developed country is that the economy is good, not disastrous. That the people are not living in unbelievable poverty, like you see in parts of Africa. And the medicine is sufficient enough to cure any common illness. Looking at my standards, I don't consider Turkey to be underdeveloped. |

only the western part of Turkey is developed, the rest of the country is very very poor |

The west part of Minor Asia could be described as developed, take as example towns like Constantinople,Smyrna and so on.About the asian part of Turkey,it is not.
But do not forget that,a country that does not respect human rights it's anything but developed. |

in the current time, the people of developed countries don´t need to migrate, because their countries give her good salaries
then, why do the Turkeys migrate to Germany so much?
and, look the Turkish villages (spcially the villages in Eastern side), or the slums (poorest neigghbourds) of Istanbul and Ankara |
