Cazolina

Turkey or Zakynthos?

Contemplating either of the two for a two-week holiday at the end of June!
For Turkey I've been looking at Alanya and Side (I've been to Alanya before, but never Side).
And for Zakynthos (Zante) I've been looking at Alykes and Alykanas?
What do you think?? :) :)
It's for my dad and I, he needs a break, and so do I after my A-LEVELS :0!!!!
Additional Details
Apparently Zante just got a new airport???!:0

as a person from zakynthos i can talk about zakynthos
1st the new airport is a fact -yeah(i used to work in the old whoch i hated),the arrival department was since the last year in order....
alykes and alykanas are both nice, they are quite and "out of the danger" places,i mean these are two quite places with non full of drunk naked turists,
there you can find fantastic beaches....alykes is a little bit more noisy but still very calm place.....

turkey i am sure that would be a nice place to visit, and has great places as well.but what i can say is only about my hometown ;)
if u want information, you can mail me

wherever you go,hope you have a great time!

go to zante the places ayou mentioned are really quite if thats your thing i go to alkes if you want something to do at night go to tsilvi

Zakynthos is a brilliant island. So i'd choose that one - i've been to alykanas before and it is a really relaxing place with a great beach.
Have fun!!

side is a very nice place to be at any time with two fantastic big beaches. the amphitheater for culture and the harbour for relaxing ! try kiss bar, dursan the owner.......well, you find out for yourself ! also think money. turkey is still a lot cheaper then greece. the whether be the same in either place...........bloody hot ! do have a nice holiday wherever you go !

Zakynthos is ok but the airport is little more than a cattle shed. You will need to queue outside for at least a couple of hours whether it's hot or rainy

edit

New airport? Go for Zante then! Just watch out for the turtle nests!

Love both. The areas in Turkey you have chosen are a bit built up though. We go to Yalikavak near Bodrum but you need to go into Bodrum for clubs. Alykanas is great too with lots of bars and restaurants. Zante good for sightseeing too - go to Smugglers Cove - great view!

I dont know about Zakynthos but Side,(and im not saying that because i'm from Turkey :-P),mm it has the best beaches!!And i've seen quite a lot of beaches already. So my suggestion is Side, but still I dont have any ideas about Zakynthos.Have fun!

I would say Zakynthos. Is a place, where everyone can have fun.Allthough it's a bit expensive in compare to Turkey.
