Hi Asker,
Don't mind the angry paranoid people... who clearly need to take their personal life more seriously than the casual questions and answers in this forum. Gosh...You'd think someone insulted their family by the reaction.
Admittedly your question is not very articulate, but hey...you could be a 14 year old English girl who met a 16 year old Turkish boy this summer and is fantasizing some kind of future, for all we know.
In answer to your question, it may seem easier to make decisions based on categories, because then you wouldn't have to test and analyse this guy's personality and just offer him your complete trust and risk a broken heart and gain a bitter perception of all Turkish males.
But this is not the intelligent thing to do, you need to base your decisions on the merit of the individual. This means you need to deconstruct this person's personality and character by comparing what he is saying to you and how he behaves when you ask him annoying/wrong questions etc; As you can see, when men are annoyed, it is hard for them to think clearly so they blurt out a ton of rubbish. From that rubbish you will understand where his real mind/heart leans towards. Just an Abla (older sisterly) tip to you. |

you have good and bad people all over the world ?and you have got to have trust as without it there can be no relationship? |

I have met enough trustworthy and genuine Turkish men to make a statistical generalization, but anyone who knows how statistics work would know that such a generalization not based on random sampling would be wrong.
The ones among my acquaintance are good friends and true to their partners. |

I think its wrong of you to ask this question on a forum like Y A..look at all the negative answers you have got. Time and your heart will give you the answer to this question...you cannot generalise a WHOLE nation of men on a couple of cases where young men dupe British women into bringing them here to the UK for a passport....Yes this stuff happens, but not every case is the same. Like in all nations, you have different men... the wife beaters, the drug addicts, the possesive, the alcoholics, cheaters, liers, willingly unemployed (gosh sounds terrible!!) BUT you also have those men who genuinely love a woman for who they are, they work hard, are honest, loyal, a best friend..and if your man is someone like that, i suggest you invest your time in him, not in making yourself paranoid with these questions. Just take time before you rush into something serious. And to be honest...if you really do have a GOOD Turkish man, you are one lucky lady |

Most Turkish guys are 'love rats'. Just after your money and a visa. They will say and do anything to get it too. Give them a wide berth! |

I am sure most Turkish men are trust worthy and genuine, but in the holiday resorts they are paid to flatter tourists and pronounce there undying love for you. It is up to you if you fall for there charms but be careful they do the same to thousands of tourists. |

I take it he loves the person so much he will give up his life to marry you and move to the UK - and then do a runner...

some are some ain't, just like every nationality. you just have to trust your instincts. mine left me after 7 years when he got his visa, but most of his friends have stood by me and are helping me try to get over it. looking back I think I knew it would happen all along but decided to bury my head in the sand. the strange man is still wearing his wedding ring, can't work that out........ |
