I'm not a Turk, but I have to say that only a sexist man can't allow them (wherever he is from, whatever his religion is...), since freedom means freedom for EVERYBODY (women included), so they're free to wear like they want and to act like they want. I never will tell a girl what she has to do.

The turks aren't as strict as Saudi Arabis, Yemen etc. where women have absolutely no freedom at all. It's not the only muslim country to portray such freedom either. You can go to Lebanon and see girls in bikinis at the beach. Islam frowns on this, sure, but years ago, Kemal Ataturk forcefully took off the hijabs of turkish women and somehow the policy stuck. Reza khan did the same in Iran, but it didn't turn out that good. Oh, by the way, did you know women can drive a car in Turkey?! Not the country you would want your mom, sister, wife or any of your clan to live in.

9m, I know in certain places for a woman to wear basically swimming underwear out in front of others would be as shameful as wearing actual underwear in front of others, but for some reason this is okay. In many places people swim nude. Some people see the body as a private thing, where as some see it as the way God created us. Also, these women don't see themselves as possessions of their husband, so free will makes it their choice.

I assure you that those who do wear bikini do not see it as immoral. They believe they can still please God while wearing whatever they want. I know some (such as you) don't agree with this, but we can only change ourselves, not those around us...
