She was a minor Goddess in Greek mythology.

Also in the story of Hercules, Hercules was walking and saw 2 paths on the road, one on the left and the other on the right. On each path there was a woman walking towards him. On the right path it was Areti - and on the left one - it was Kakia (means evil in Greek) ...each woman offered him things to allure him to choose her path. At the end he chose Areti which represented taking the harder but more honest way of life to live by instead of an easy way but of evil and dishonesty
