I'm a Londoner and about 85% of us usually go to London for our holidays.
Tomorrow, Saturday 16th June 2007 - we've got the Trooping of the Colour [Queen's Birthday Parade]. I'll be somewhere in the Mall waiting for HM to come by.
Later this year we've got the start of the Tour de France - which will race from London to Canterbury on the first leg.
Don't hold your breath because these professional cyclists pass at speeds of 40mph plus.
There are loads of free events in central London in the Summer and lots of free stuff to do.
We've got free pop concerts in the park and lots more besides.
Think I'll take out a boat on the Serpantine and let the wife do the rowing while I drink some Pimms, or something. Ha! I can just see that coming off. |
