I absolutely adored Bitez which is about 8 miles from Bodrum, near enough for nightlife but far enough away not to be in your head all the time. Nice beach, fantastic restaurants, wonderful people, cheap trips and briliant atmosphere. Its a place for chilling out and forgetting your troubles.

Best of all, its not chavy!! or Blackpool in the sun!!

Gumbet and Bitez are the best. I have been loads of times and i never get bored of the place. The local people are so friendly and the atmosphere is great!

Oh my God, Don,t do it, really don't do it.
My partner and I have just returned from Alana and would rather stick pins in both eyes than go back to Turkey.
I could write a book on how miserable a place it is, but suffice to say that most of the men act like potential sexual molesters, that's when they are not spitting on the floor in retaliation for you not eating in their restaurant or buying items from their shops.
The beaches were a mess and their was a real tense atmosphere about the place in general.
Go to the Moon, its bound to be more fun.
