It's a very nice place with lots of history.
Most young people there have taken English while in high school but you should learn some basic phrases in German.
You are probably to young to drink the good beer but the sausage, bread and cheese in much of Europe is much better that you can find in the U.S. or Canada.
See as much of the architecture as possible, eat as much interesting food as you can and meet as many people as you can.
Most of all remember to be flexible and to accept that some things are going to be different there compared to what you are accustomed to, accept it, go with it and enjoy. |

Very nice. Vienna was clean as could be even during the Euro Cup. I spent a few days there and didn't have to use a word of German (although I did cuz I didnt want to look like a total jackass American). Every person I ever spoke to could speak English. If you get the chance go see the Danube river. Its pretty cool. |
