Additional Details
is there even one?

Earthling
Same difference between Danes and Danish people and Swedes and Swedish people.

Extra information, when you use "Turkish", you need to add a noun like Turkish food, Turkish woman, Turkish delight, etc. But "Turk" can stand alone as in "I'm a Turk!"

The word "Turk " is Chinese origin (Tu ku) and means "neighbours". By the word "Turks" we define a group of different populations (but still of common origin) that immigrated gradually from the East to the western part of Asia, and the most well known are the Seltzuk Turks and the Othman Turks (Osmanli). The latter, being originally a small group of warriors when they begun fighting Bysantium, shortly incorporated through religion the majority of the multinational and multicultural populations of the Bysantine empire (or of what had remained of it) and now by the term "Turkish people" we define people who live in Turkey and share a common culture and religion. We must not forget that conquering the Bysantine provinces and incorporating their population had been a rather easy case, since those populations suffered a lot of the taxes and the religious restrictions imposed by the Bysantine system.

in english the term turc reffers to the whole turcs in the world.. the difference is turc is a family name and turkish is one of the members of that family just like slavic people.. russians, ukranians , bulgarians serbians polish.. all are from slavic family but they have their own names...
the other Turkic countries are Azerbaijan, kazakhstan uzbekhistan , turkmenistan etc....

the citizens of the Republic of Turkey is called Turkish however in turkish language we call ourselves "Turk"...

after all the term "Turk" used in different senses in english and Turkish thats what causes people to mix it up....

Smiles4daCamera
no Turk is just another name for Turkish people like American is a name for american people. Its just like a nickname haha.

AllsTar
Hey KC, use whichever u wanna use, both goes well. Plus, "Turk" is noun and "Turkish" is both adjective and noun. Turkish as noun, the name of the language what Turks speak, Turkish as an adjective Turkish Raki:))) and Turk, I am a Turk from Michigan,so do the math and there you go;)
Reagrds all-

there is no difference ,they have the same meaning.

Turk is a noun.Turkish is an adjective that comes in front of the nouns;like people. But they all refer the same. You can use either.

Irmak
Turk is the short form of Turkish and nowadays it is more popular than Turkish in the world..And (Turk = Türk in Turkish) We can say 'Turk' is the English form for Turkish word 'Türk'

Yeah, I'm Turkish.

Qu'est ce que tu pense?
They're both the same. Turks are Turkish people. Like Americans are American people.

Charmed
The same!!!!
